It took forever but I just figured that was the process of preparing it. I get home and it's a regular size sandwich sub sandwich, that is substantially less expensive than a giant. So, I put my clothes back on and go back up there. I went through the drive thru, handed her my receipt, told her what I ordered and gave her what I received. Thirty seconds later, she hands me another sandwich. I asked her if it's the right sandwich, and without looking she says yes and hands it to me. I see that it's a regular and not a giant, so I give it back to her and tell her that it's not the right sandwich, then she gives me a look like I did something wrong. After taking forever, she gives me the bag with two regular sandwiches. I get home and they both are smelly beef sandwiches (I'm a pescatarian), so I go back up there and go inside to speak with the assistant manager. She was apologetic, refunded my money, and personally prepared the sandwich. I was then offered a free drink from another worker. The assistant manager says that the mistake is because all of the staff members are new and they hadn't labeled the sandwiches. Thankfully, I only live a quarter mile away but after a long work-day, I do not want to make three trips to any place. Jersey Mike's is an amazing company. The owner reached out to make things right and was super nice and apologized. I didn't really expect anything, but wow, I'm impressed. I'll definitely give this location a try again. 5 stars for really caring about customers
Original review: I love Jersey Mike's. This is the first time ordering from the Syracuse location, but it might be the last. It's closer to our home, but we waited an hour for sandwiches. We placed an order online at 6:35pm and the online time said it would be ready at 6:50pm. We always pick up online orders through the drive thru at other locations, so we headed to the drive thru but they told us we had to come inside. No biggie at all. My husband went inside the restaurant at 7:00pm. He did not come back out until 7:35pm. He said it was obvious they were really busy and overwhelmed and the girl at the counter kept apologizing. He's super patient and felt terrible they were so busy and knows a lot of them are just kids and don't deserve to be treated badly. The frustrating part is that I watched from the car and the Grub Hub/Door Dash people were in and out. The cars in the drive thru got through in about 15 minutes. It seems our order was completely neglected. My husband finally told the girl it had been an hour since we placed our order and he finally got it. I work in customer service.
