Cafe Perk — Restaurant in Tacoma

I have spent the better part of the last 10 years working out of coffee shops. Not sure what it is about a great coffee shop, but good vibes help the mental juices flow. Needless to say I LOVE a great coffee shop!!! I didn't know this gem was there, I found it quite by accident. I stopped in a nearby Boat Brokerage business asking where I could sit down for a couple hours before a meeting and they recommended it. It was a bit hard to find, but well worth the excursion. Cafe Perk is located in the Museum of Glass, so there are some restrictions on hours. Service is awesome, with big windows overlooking the Thea Foss waterway creating ample motivation. I try to find an excuse to do some work here...

I ordered a London Fog and a breakfast sandwich, both were amazing. My breakfast sandwich came with high quality potato chips which was unexpected and I appreciated.

Food was served cold, parts of the order were forgotten, hot drinks were also served cold and lacked flavor (like perhaps no flavor was added at all,) and the service was mediocre. The location in the Glass Museum was nice, but I would not recommend spending money at this cafe. We were very disappointed. I believe this place is new. Perhaps over time they will improve their food quality...
