I got finally disappointed when I realized after multiple visits hunting for basic furniture on lower prices and I turned to secondhand stores.
I visited this place multiple times than realized NW Furniture Bank is the one who supply Hope Furnishing from the donations!!! The store doesn't rotate their furniture in their store for a long time!.. Overpriced old things set up there but I wonder where are they sell all those donated items? *I saw nice newer items down at the donation site what never showed up in their store since. The sales told me there is new things every day. Where are those donated furniture sold and to who? I really could have and need and I would buy from those but even I went back day by day the none showed up at their store!
NW Furniture Bank receiving countless of quality donations from good hearted folks what I saw while drove over a few times hunting for cheaper furniture of my needs but up above the hill at Hope Furniture the selection is the very same in months and very pricey for their condition.
Donors "HOPE" would fall apart if they're see.. They would offer their items free or for better price to low-income families than. Just visit the store and ask what they're really doing with the money?? Bit where is all donations are disappearing?? Many of the old furniture which are far from antic in the store several hundreds of dollars close to a thousand some. Looks like fishy business to me.
There is an homeless camp right next to NW Furniture Bank in Tacoma... Right on the corner of this business under the bridge what wrenched my heart thinking how poor, unfortunate and disabled people used for the set up of some nonprofit organization. Why the store does not help those in need more? I wonder if anybody care who is behind this corner there??! How many homeless were lifted out from there and how many low-income people find furniture for the price they can afford??? So who is helped by this organization really.
I wonder if anybody else noticed...
Read moreMy wife and I have been looking for a dining room table and the other 2nd hand stores in the area didn't have quite what we were looking for. Hope Furnishings has quite a large showroom and everything in it looked fantastic. We ended up getting a decent size table (seats 6) with the ability to put a leaf in it (wasn't included, as I don't think Hope received it) and six chairs all for $200! The table has some scuff marks, but it is lovely and solid, and if something happens to it it won't be too big of a deal.
The staff were very friendly and were open to us taking multiple trips (across separate days) to get everything home. As I understand it, you have a week to pick up your purchase.
We will definitely be back, as we will be in the market for a...
Read moreSuper place. I had been calling around about a table set that was discontinued yet available in a non-retail warehouse for authorized furniture distributors ONLY (I could not purchase the set directly). I called Harkness, Ashley, and about six other local furniture outlets. Everyone told me it would be a minimum of 3-6 weeks until the table set I wanted would be available, and I would be charged top retail price.
I called hope furnishings as a last resort. Not only could they also get the table, they got it with 3-days, loaded it into my truck and it cost me almost $200 less than ANYWHERE else. I couldn't even find it on the internet for the same price.
Great place for furniture. I...
