Upper Level Cut Lounge Barbershop — Local services in Tacoma

An extremely rude, impolite, arrogant, and unprofessional person with zero customer service skills. I would give him zero stars for his uncouth behavior. This Taz guy literally treated me like a criminal for entering his shop 5 minutes to my appointment time. As soon as I entered the shop, this dude started yelling at me and interrogating me about why I walked in. He acted like he didn't know me, like I was basically intruding into his business. When I told him I had appointment, and that I wanted to make sure he knew I was waiting in the lounge area, he became more infuriated and threw a big fit of anger. He was screaming so loud like he was possessed. It was written all over his face and I could see that burning indignation in his eyes. All this happened in the presence of two other customers. I felt so embarrassed and left promptly. I cancelled my appointment. Even after I exited and closed the shop door, I could still hear him ranting from the lounge area. It was a horrible...

I visted upper level because of all the positive reviews, and very clean looking cuts. Atmosphere inside is really chill and friendly. I had my haircut there three times each time I had a worse experience. First time was good clean cut an the barber didn't rush. The second time was alright, the day after I had a nice scab from the straight edge razor on my forhead. Its went away after a few days. The third visit I was in the chair for around 3 mins (no one was even waitting behind me) abit of burning during the cut is normal with the straight edge blade I figured. Showered when I got home and went to bed. Next morning I awake to see just how much he had rushed. When using the straight razor it take some finesse perhaps he was just being overly confidant. The face is the first thing most people notice about a person. I dont want mine to be nicked up again. I wont be back...

I would give zero stars if possible. I took my son here for a haircut, that turned out to be a COMPLETE disaster!!! Even another staff member couldn't believe how terrible my son's hair looked. When I asked for it to be fixed, the guy who cut it became extremely rude and defensive. The man's words were, "I NEVER mess up"!!! When I got tired of hearing him complaining and arguing about how he never messes up I requested that the other staff member fix my son's hair instead. After that request, the man became irate and actually kicked us out of his establishment!!! Thankfully he was considerate enough to give us our money back.
