Let me start by saying this is a hidden local spot. It is on Google but has no big signs off the main road or on the building. It's just a street sign and a non paved lot in front of what looks like a garage. So we were intrigued. However, it did not live up to the hype. The inside is a country themed barbecue restaurant. Small but probably 12 tables or so. It was very full of stuff and not clean, especially the bathrooms. They were busy though, and as soon as we were sat she told us they were out of ribs and potatoes (what we wanted). So we got 2 kids meals, then she told us they were out of chicken for kids. So then we just got sides for one kid and a pulled pork sandwich for the other. Since the menu was so limited my husband and I shared a 2 meat platter with 2 sides and added an extra side. Food took a while, everyone around us got their food plus all the togo orders before we did. When it came, she brought brisket for the kids meal instead of pork, so we had to wait on that to be fixed and she forgot the fries. When she brought the plate of fries they were maybe a handful on a plate. I watched as other tables received massive piles (a plate full) of shoestring fries so I had to ask for more like the other orders around us. She brought them without comment. She also brought pickles and onions for all the other tables but not us. We were never checked on again or given refills. By this time they were not busy and had maybe 4 tables including us. We were just ignored. Food was ok. My husband enjoyed it more than me. He liked the hot links. My daughter enjoyed her pulled pork sandwich and beans. My brisket was super chewy and fatty, cut thin. I would not order it again. The rest was just ok. We ate it but we didn't leave satisfied or thinking "wow, that was great!". The ribs were obviously the most popular item, but I don't plan to visit again to try them. Overall, it's a hit or miss bbq place. Maybe togo orders, when they have their full menu avail, are the way to go. Prices are average, but they do offer a military discount. Wish there were half stars. I would say 2 1/2 for this visit.

I went to check this place out after a long time gone. I got the Bad-which, it is Hot Link, Brisket, Bologna, Cheese & Mustard. The brisket was a bunch of hard jerky like chopped beef. The flavor was good on the brisket, but it was tough. The bologna was so thin I forgot it was even there. I will say the hot link was the stand out star of the show. It was so stupid good. I would have preferred it to be sliced in half so it laid flat in the sandwich. It was good on the whole. I would think that is Buc-ee’s , can get brisket right a BBQ place could do better. I saw one of the workers inform the waitress that they had just ran out of brisket, so maybe I got the ends and pieces. The BBQ was just some plain Ol’ Head Country, so that was a wash. The curly fries were not curly or very fried tasting. I give them a break on this count because I transported them to my home in the clam shell to go box. They were perfectly average. . The parking lot is horrible, so take care if you are in a wheelchair, or use a walker. The inside was interesting. The pictures and mounts do little to hide the garage style building. It was an Ok meal, but I expected more because I had a better meal the last time I was there. I believe I will give them another try, but I would not rush back to do it. “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬

When I get back to my hometown, a trip to Fish's is a MUST. They've been at it for years and are still smokin'. I'm in middle Tennessee now, and bless their hearts - "barbecue" is pulled pork here. When you get farther west, it seems like they've figured out that you can barbecue a LOT of different things...and there's always a choice of meats. I guess it's just a regional thing. Anyhow - I had the "Badwich" - it's got a little of everything and it's a fork and knife sammich...and delicious! They have curly-Q's...the spiral cut french fried potatoes, and they're usually perfect. That night they were super thin and pretty much shattered when I tried to eat them...still delicious, but not perfect. The cook said he'd lost a little spacer of some sort - and that he'd try and find it for next time...so they've likely remedied that issue by now. Note - the driveway (using that term loosely) is not for the faint of heart - take it SLOW and if you're not in a truck, you probably best park up the hill and walk part of it. But it's worth the walk!

This place has went down hill with customer service. I called a day ahead to ask if they could seat a large group for dinner I gave her the number of people and the time she told me yes. When we got there the table was ready we ordered our food then it started to get a little busy my family and I waited forever for food to come out then when it finally did our orders were not right my steak was still pink I ordered well done took forever to get drinks the older lady was going from table to table taking orders and checking people out. Customers were up getting their own drinks. The older lady was our waitress My son and I felt bad for her so we started to help clean our table and she had the nerve to come to me and say we were hurting the restaurant and if the person who paid didn't leave a tip for her then she will go back and give herself a $33 tip because she doesn't work for free. Not knowing I was leaving the tip. Then she goes to tell me that two of her waitresses walked out on her and her main cook never showed up. I understand things happen but she knew this before we decided to sit down she could have told me all of this beforehand and gave us the option if we wanted to Stay or Leave but she didn't and then try to blame it on us. She knew she was going to be waitressing and checking people out she could have told me so we could have went somewhere else instead of getting bad customer service. My family and I will not ever come back to this place especially as a group also if they can just take money off of your credit or debit card after you already paid. I really wished I could talk to the manager or someone over her because what she told me she was going to do and what she did tonight was unacceptable she should be ashamed...
