Bad Monkey Ybor — Restaurant in Tampa

This is a great place to visit and get some drinks in Ybor City. They have an inside and an outside bar and places to sit. Tons of beers to choose from and a fully stocked bar. I had an old fashioned, which was one of the tastiest I've even had! My hat off to the bartender!! Darts, pool, bar shuffleboard are all options to pass the time while enjoying drinks and the music is up to you to choose through Touchtunes digital juke box. I spent some time talking with Steve, the general manager, and he was very interesting giving some history of the bar and some stories of unique patrons that have come through. Definitely make this a place to stop while you are in the Tampa area and seeing what Ybor City has to offer. I'll be back...

Pretty women, reasonably priced drinks, a jukebox for anyone's picking, and several flat screens, the Bad Monkey in Ybor City is a sure-fire place to go when hanging out with the guys. The food and drinks are excellent and the staff is incredibly welcoming and thankful. You'll notice the old-style long bar fully stocked at the right side upon entering and a flush of tables on the left. There's a pile of Large Jenga blocks on a stump for fun along with a place to throw some darts. If your phone is low on battery, a small box in the bar to the far left will do it for a fee, of course, but it beats having to search for a cab or wandering about without a charged phone in the middle of Ybor...

Bad Monkey Bar in Ybor City is a hidden gem that offers a fantastic blend of being in the heart of the action while still providing a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The food was delicious, cheese sticks were the best I've had in a long time and the service was top-notch. Cook got the wrap wrong but no biggie since I was honestly trying to decide between the Buffalo chicken wrap or the chopped beef wrap. Ordered the chicken with ranch but was actually the chopped beef. No complaints that the cook decided for me lol. Also while eating, I loved the feeling of being on the strip yet feeling like I had found a secret spot to enjoy. Can't wait to go back and soak in the unique ambiance...
