have been to Rasoi for their Lunch Buffet at least 10 times and dined at their establishment once for dinner since I lived minutes away. I have always had amazing experiences at Indian Restaurants however the employees @ Rasoi are NOT very friendly at all, they are actually pretty rude compared to the flourishing Indian Restaurants I have had the pleasure of dining at all over the world from Paris to Miami Beach to Tampa. I am a Vegetarian, their Lunch Buffet has a few Vegetarian options which surprised me compared to the cornucopia of Vegetarian dishes offered at most Indian Buffets. Please understand. I am not a very heavy eater and I am all about quality over quantity in an Indian Buffet. On the buffet they offer a desert, either mango pudding / ice cream or rice pudding, they also have Vegetable Samosas { sadly the Samosas are much better at Whole foods Market}! We just went their for dinner this evening scheduling a reservation through "Open Tabe". When we arrived the Hostess looked at her watch and rudely said " Our kitchen closes in 15 minutes... I exclaimed " So you know how to take a reservation, you just don't want to keep the reservation"! LOL. We started with an order of an order of the Naan Bread for $4 per order. For my entre I orderd MATAR PANEER (Homemade cheese & green peas cooked in creamy gravy with fenugreek leaf) for $16 which came with a small portion of Basmati Rice, extra rice cost $4 per person. I always order Reita sauce with my Indian food which cost an additional $6 per person. It really was a truly unpleasant experience being "nickeled and dimed" over every little item! Lastly we ordered a desert called GULAB JAMUN Homemade cheese balls dipped in honey syrup flavoured w/rose water $5 per person which is not a desert on the Lunch Buffet. Again I am very disappointed on the way in which the cost of very item was declared every time we added an item to our order! I am not a cheap person, especially when I take my daughter out to celebrate an achievement of hers! I DO NOT recommend this...
Read moreI think of the day I visited this place, and I try not to think again. It was my trip to Tampa with the family and on my way back decided to try good indian food for the dinner as it would be late for my kids to have their dinner while I drive back to Orlando. Went to this place purely based on their ratings, but I was wrong!!
The staff was very rude and non friendly. The orders were messed up, food was over priced for the quality and taste. few things we tried - aloo paratha and veg Biryani.
The main surprise was when I got the bill, the gratuity was automatically added to the bill at 15% and I had no choice to make my decision. I wanted to give them no tips/gratuity as the service was pathetic, food was not that great for the price. But I had no choice.
I guess, they know they will not get any tips and thus they charge you in advance without even passing that choice to you. I understand in the USA we need to give them tips for their service, but if I’m not happy with the service, I should have an option to tip them to my liking or no tips to be honest. I have eaten at more expensive places than this and I have whole heartedly paid the tips as well as I was happy with the service. But, this one was a complete waste of money.
Giving them 2/5 only for the reason that food was okay but not great to the price...
Read moreIn search of a catering option, our quest led us to Rasoi Indian Cuisine for dinner. Arriving around 9:30 pm, we were fortunate to find roadside parking available. Greeted promptly upon entering, we were seated in the inviting ambiance, complete with a full bar.
After perusing the menu, our culinary journey commenced with the delectable Chicken Tikka appetizer. For the main course, we opted for the Matar Methi Malai, Kadhai Paneer, accompanied by Garlic Naan. The service proved efficient, and our orders arrived promptly.
The Chicken Tikka set the tone with its succulent, perfectly cooked chicken, marinated to perfection. Moving on to the mains, the Kadhai Paneer was delightful, showcasing well-cooked paneer. However, the star of the evening was the Matar Methi Malai, a dish that left an indelible mark with its exquisite flavors.
Impressed and enamored by the culinary prowess of Rasoi Indian Cuisine, we were so taken with the experience that we decided to cater from them for an upcoming event. The delightful combination of delicious, well-prepared dishes and exceptional service made our evening memorable and elevated Rasoi Indian Cuisine to our top choices for future dining and...
