The food is fine. Not amazing, just fine. Nothing particularly wrong with it, except overdone salmon, but here's the thing: the menu used to include a variety of terrific sandwiches and equally great salads. Now, there are a couple of appealing salads that look better on the menu than they actually are (did I mention overcooked salmon?), a couple of ok-looking sandwiches, and a lot more dinner-style meals. If you're shopping at the mall and swinging through a department store to get your meal, you're likely not there for a roasted chicken or steak frites, knowing you still have more shopping to do. If they did this menu as a dinner menu and a lighter menu for lunch, it would make a whole lot more sense. Who wants to carry leftovers from something like roasted chicken while traipsing through the mall? What will they look like when you get home? The new options are nowhere near as creative or delicious-looking on the menu as the old ones, and a place we used to think of as a real treat is now not someplace we feel a need to revisit. It's actually kind of sad. The service is good, the restaurant looks great, though it's entirely too loud, the bar offerings are good, but the food menu is lackluster and not...
Read moreMy favorite thing to do when I go to International mall is to make sure I’m there during the lunchtime hour. Although there are numerous restaurants to choose from and a food court to have lunch or dinner, I discovered a trendy, delicious cafe located in Nordstrom’s department store on the 2nd floor called Braille!
If you haven’t dined here before, it needs to be your next place to go while shopping this holiday season. The prices are comparable to the outside restaurants that surround the mall, but the food rates much higher and is very original. They usually have specials, salads, sandwiches, and pizzas; however, soups like crab bisque and the crock of French onion soup have never let me down!
The menu also has pasta dishes, fish, beef, an Asian dish, and several unique appetizers like crab cakes and French fries served with a kalamata olive sauces that is to die for! The wait staff if friendly and quick and there is a small bar that serves drinks throughout the day! Great desserts follow all the meals and there is nothing I’ve tried that disappoints!
I highly suggest the Brazille cafe and would love to hear about what you ate and how much you enjoyed...
Read moreA waitress brung in my SANDWICH and was laughing in such a condescending way proceeding to tell me “yea the guys in the back (the workers) were wondering if ur going to finish that”……… like bro its a sandwich and i did finish it btw thanks. I couldve easily laughed it off but she was just so weird about it and also she put her own tip in??????? At the end when i was going to pay she was so unclear and left me at the register then came back 7 minutes later and asked if i did it and i was like did what? she was like ill just do it with the worst attitude ever btw and typed in some numbers and was like here (to pay)…idk what her name was but she was a white on the bigger side lady. Either way she needs to be fired immediately or learn to be nice to customers and the “guys in the back” need to learn to mind their own business. I swear to god i wouldve understood and laughed it off if she was nice or even if i actually did order something huge, i ordered the steak sandwich and she was rude when i tried joking...
