Poor customer service:
To begin, I have not ordered from here in a very long time because the service is so inconsistent, it can be decent one day and horrible on another. At this point I feel it should be mentioned based this last experience I just had. What gave me the idea to order was that I was given a brochure and I figured, let me try this again, perhaps the environment has changed. To begin,I tried calling to place a to-go order. No one picked up on the first ring, therefore I tried again. The phone was picked up and you can hear background noise from the restaurant for a minute, then it was hung up (as if it was picked up just to stop the ringing). I gave it one more shot, with a different phone with a very low toned unprofessional greeting “bar Loui “. Told the person I had an order I’d like to place, he said “ok, let me get someone” and I hear the conversation in the background. He was telling someone there was an order on the phone and the other person responded “they weren’t taking it”. Not sure what that meant, but definitely not something you want to hear as a customer while you’re on the line. The person whom picked up the phone was actually polite and informative with the fact that she couldn’t send anyone to deliver the order being that we are located in the mall and I believe they do offer delivery service at times, which was completely fine with me, I was able to send someone to pick up the order. My order was picked up and I found that my drink was missing. I gave a quick call to the restaurant and informed them that my drink was missing and if they were able to send someone quickly to deliver it as it was very busy at the store with a short staff. I was told “unfortunately it is football Sunday and no one could be sent to deliver a drink quick”. I asked for the manager and it turns out that’s whom I was speaking with. The solution I was given, was that I could be refunded. Not really what I wanted. If someone orders something specific it’s because most likely they really wanted that paired up with their meal. Now, I have a problem with that because as any manager should know that wants to keep a customer to come back to their restaurant or any place of business for that matter, if you make a mistake, you make it right for that customer no matter what. Read moreUpdate: So I decided to give Bar Louie a try again since they messed up my order the first time through the mobile app. This time I went to the restaurant and placed a to go order and waited. Yet again the kitchen managed to mess up my order again by not making it the way the menu advertised it. I waited to speak with the manager Dalton (again). The first time he apologized for the incorrect information the manager on duty provided me and for the kitchen messing up my order. He told me that I would be getting a refund. It's been iver 2 weeks and I still haven't been refunded. I waited 30 minutes to speak with him and when he came from the back, he was chatting with the employees instead of coming directly to the customer to take care of their concerns. When he finally came to me, I asked him about the refund and he stated he wasn't sure why I haven't been refunded yet and spoke to the person above him and was told they would into getting me gift cards. Why would I be given gift cards when I was told I would receive a refund to the card I paid with?? Then I told him the kitchen messed up my order again and showed him, he really didn't seemed to concerned. He didn't offer to correct it, he didn't offer anything for the inconvenience for waiting 30 minutes, nor did he ask if there is anything he can do. Poor customer service and service in general. FYI whenever you make a to go order, make sure to check it before you leave because the kitchen will make it their way instead of what the menu shows and management doesn't care to make it right.
2 weeks ago- Bar Louie messed up my mobile order. I called to soeak with the manager. She didn't apologize for the kitchen error for messing up my order. She didn't offer to remake my order or to refund it. She told me that since I paid through a third party app when I ordered through the BAR LOUIE APP, I would have to contact the 3rd party in order for original order to be remade or refunded. This is the worst experience I've had with Bar Louie. I don't even live in Tampa and drove to get 2 of those salads because they are delicious and wanted to have them fo dinner. After this experience, I probably won't visit again because of how they treat their customers when it comes to them not willing to correct their kitchen's error of not creating the order exactly how it is placed and not giving their customers what is stated...
Read moreTLDR; Can’t fulfill Uber Eats orders properly. Took an hour and a half waiting at the restaurant as a pick-up order (not including commute) to receive any actual help from staff, food was cold and according to other members of party, mediocre at best. Hard pass. Eventually got my refund from Uber eats. Food is not as advertised at all.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Waited over an hour for an uber eats order, the Uber Eats app said it was ready yet when we asked the staff, they said the app was wrong and that the food wasn’t even up yet. Come to over an hour wait at the restaurant later, we find out that my order was waiting and gone already long cold/bad. I waited over an hour for my food to be ready, and I received no notification from any of the staff, after already having gone to speak with several members of the staff at least 5 times between my entire party.
When we finally found the managers and notified them of everything, they said they would “expedite” the order and that they were short-staffed and that everyone was basically doing whatever they wanted in terms of handling third party orders. I don’t see how being short-staffed should be mentioned to the customer; I have paid for my food, it’s not my concern whether you can’t afford the time to make it. Don’t offer services if you can’t deliver it.
I ended up leaving with whatever replacement food they seemed to slap together in a rush last minute (attached as a picture to this review, apparently worth $15 lol) and getting a refund through Uber Eats via the live chat.
All I ordered was a mac and cheese sandwich, which in the end, isn’t even what I got. If you’re here for food and not drinks (I have no idea how the drinks are), avoid at all costs, save your money and go to literally any other restaurant on the Tampa Intnl Mall strip— you’ll have a better...
