Please do your research before coming to this school. As a current student at this school and in my last semester before I am supposed to graduate it is the worst semester of my life. The teacher for med surge 3 Mrs. Paolino does not teach the class we have no lecture at all and we are told to follow the outline for learning, but no guidance is given when it comes to what to study for exams and then they are all upset that the class pretty much fails. I am paying 120,000 to teach myself and sit in a classroom for 3 hours to learn nothing more than I did before walk into the classroom. The teacher tells you that they are only here for the one day of class and then after that you cant really get in touch with your instructor. You voice your opinion to get help, and it's turned around on the students that we are not doing what we should be doing but we are doing everything that we are told. Your grade depends on your exams to pass the class as they give barely anything else to help your grade in the class. They get upset when we go and look at other campuses that do get lectures and learn from them or get on YouTube to learn about things we should be taught in the classroom for all the money that we are paying to come to this school. You know who the teachers' favorites are as get the extra help and given more resources than other students that will voice how they feel about something. They always go back to the semesters before us, but they passed the class not from the teaching but from cheating off each other or getting answers from teachers about the exams. In our last semester they are sending us to clinicals the whole semester instead of giving us time to focus on exams and the other classes that we are in. When we take the one credit courses, they have a lot of work in them also that has to be completed and can be lengthy also for work. I wish that I had asked more questions coming into this program before I signed up. Not everyone learns the same way or have the same learning style, and they give no lectures for the students that need that and can't learn from just reading a book. I am not paying 120,000 to pretend that I am in an acting class or to have my peers teach me things that are wrong and im still having to do research again to collect the correct information so that I know what I am learning is correct. Yes, we are in nursing school and getting a BSN but we are still paying to learn. I know that my peers feel the same way as its talked about daily. I know that the staff at this school thinks that all we have done since we started is complain and whine but it's our education and our money, we are paying so yes, we want the best for ourselves. Some of the teachers are bullies to students. What they think has helped the cohorts before us really did not do anything because they passed by cheating and all of the cohorts know because they said it and it's the reason the exams have been changed and how they are given has been changed so none of that information really matters. Plus, I was in my start of my nursing class, so I had heard it all also from the students that have graduated already. I believe that having lectures back will help so many of us in this cohort and cohorts to come after us. Just giving us questions, pretending we are in acting school and giving no guidance is not helping any of the students at all. It makes me upset to see that half of my cohort that I have went through all these semesters with are struggling in this class and with exams because we are given nothing to help us and everything to hinder our learning and our experience. You can read and you can do questions all day long but if you are not taught the information then you are not going to do well on the exams because we have no type of guidance and no real teaching of the material. I wish the instructor cared more about us students and not trying to prove a point about my cohort we all know that the staff does not like us we have been told this different times in...
Read morePlease please do your research on this school before you sign the acceptance . My daughter was so excited after touring the small campus and was instantly admitted the next day. She was a sophomore at the university of tampa and was transferring to here. They were so friendly and was calling her consistently . After she signed her acceptance and was beginning her 1st class questions among the students started about the accreditation. These girls are 20 yrs old and from out of state and do not know how the accreditation works for their home state. After multiple phone calls to the campus and even called the school in Arizona for answers. The question was if you are national accreditation can I go for my masters in my state. The same answer (exactly) was said from the 3 people she spoke with . We are nationally accredited and you can work in any state. When my daughter called 4 different colleges in Massachusetts no one would except their courses since they are not regionally accredited. She asked many times about this and not one person would lead her in the right direction to get answers. I am so happy she did her homework and withdrew. Although it was on day 17 since started the program she only had 2 classes for 1 hour . This cost her $2000 and they have her in collections for $700 more. After paying court fees $300 and going to court for a refund. She lost in court since she signed the acceptance that stated their accreditation. We could not call any witnesses of documented phone calls and responses since the 3 faculty members she spoke with resigned within a month of her attending. Her friends that still attend there have been driving 2 hours to clinicals to be told on arrival that they do not have a licensed instructor that quality's to be at the facility. Another clinical was their 1st day they had to leave because the facility was infested with bugs and they were evacuation the nursing home . The faculty constantly turns over and they are desperately hiring. Please do your research before you sign and pay $100,000 for an education that you are limited to schools you never heard of for your masters ( they list 4 on their admission booklet) on a positive note University of Tampa accepted her back and she started her junior year in allied health . She is now touring graduate schools for the 16month RN program. This may take a few more months then if she stayed at that "so call" nursing program but it will cost the same to do it...
Read moreI left this nursing school about 4 months ago, and after transferring to another program, I can confidently say this school is a 100% money grab. Please think twice before enrolling here.
The program is extremely expensive (around $110,000) and none of the classes are transferable. Orientation made the school sound supportive, but my experience was the opposite. When I asked about preparing for the mandatory 20-question med test (which requires a 100% score to pass), I was told not to worry. I regret listening, because almost half the class ended up failing and had to repeat the entire semester over that one test.
The environment is unprofessional — the instructors are rude, unsupportive, and often bring personal drama into the classroom. The phrase “nurses eat their young” absolutely applies here. Instead of encouragement, you are met with negativity and indifference.
Accelerated programs sound appealing, but here it only sets students up for failure. This school cares more about money than student success or education. Most of the positive reviews are written by people who haven’t even started the program yet, so please be cautious.
Since leaving, I’ve started at a new nursing school and the difference is night and day. I finally feel supported and valued as a student. If you are considering nursing school, look elsewhere — don’t make the same...
