Absolute nightmare!!!
I came into RH to purchase the print maker desk, st James side board table, and Vienna Cafe leather side.
Now with me being the consumer I fully understand my respoisblties of taking the proper measurements to esnsure all of the pieces of furniture that I purchase can fit into my home, and that I have to ask all questions prior to purchasing to ensure this success.
When it came to the print maker desk I asked my sales associate if the desk came in pieces (so it can be installed in the room) or as one solid piece. This was a key question because if the desk came as one solid piece then I would have to go with the smaller size to allow for clearance through the door of my office. After my sales asscioate checked the green sheet he informed me it came as one solid piece. I purchase the desk in the smaller size.
Here is where the trouble begins... my desk arrived in pieces, which meant I could have purchased the bigger size. The St James side board table arrived and the far left draw to the cabinet which can only open and be unlocked with a key was broken. The lock on the draw would not go all the way down so the draw could property unlock and open.
I called the 1-800 number and informed them off the situation. I was able to order the desk in a larger size and was informed a furniture medic would call me within 72 hours and schedule an appointment to come out and fix the broken draw.
Well the 72 hours came and went so I called again I was informed it would actually take between 5-7 business days to call me and that the person whom I was currently speaking with would call me after that time frame to make sure I had the appointment set up. That time frame came and went and I didn't hear from anyone so I called again! I was informed my status would be changed to a priority status and I would be contacted within 48 hours and again the person who I was on the phone with would call me and confirm and apppointment was set up. Again no phone call from RH, nor anyone of the customer sales representatives that told me they would follow up with me. please note my cell phone number was given to ensure I wouldn't miss the call. Again I called and spoke with a manager this time again he asked me to wait to have a medic call me to schedule the appointment and in the mean time my desk was returned to be exchanged for the bigger size.
At this point I wasn't surprised to NOT hear from the medic team and asked to exchange the sideboard table. I was informed it would be coming from Californian and would take SEVERAL weeks before It would arrive.
In the mean time my new desk arrived (I use that term very loosely) and to my disbelieve one of the cabinet draws was broken and you had to use a ridiculous amount of force in order to get it to open. (two hands and a foot to be exact). Again I called the 1-800 number and was informed I could have a medic come out to fix the problem. At this point I was completely fed up conserdering I couldn't even get a repair medic to call me for an appointment for my sideboard table. So I opted to just return the desk. Mind you I was out a desk for a total of three weeks now!!
Long story short I purchased these items on 1/17/17 and It took until 3/11/17 to somewhat have the issues resolved in addition to three days off from work in order to be home for the returns/ deliveries.
Over all I am EXTREMELY disappointment with RH and their complete lack of customer service! I was originally planning to do an extire livingroom with the company, but after wasting a lot of time and money just dealing with three pieces of furniturei couldn't imagine the problems that would come with an entire room of furniture. Read moreTHE WORST DELIVERY COMPANY WHY RH WOULD SUBJECT THEIR CUSTOMERS TO THIS IS BEYOND ME. CUSTOMER SERVICE AT RH NOT THE BEST EITHER. Was promised delivery before Thanksgiving of 9 pieces of outdoor furniture and cushions. Subsequently, a second delivery had been scheduled for Friday following TG, for ONE single item, coffee table. I begged and pleaded to get it on the truck with the outdoor furniture and was told they couldn't do it truck was full. The cushions arrive NO FURNITURE. I requested they get the furniture to me that day the CUSTOMER NOSERVICE Delivery company FGO Logistics, RUDE denied I was ever told the furniture would be delivered that day. I asked to listen to the recorded phone call and confirm what I was told denied said I was complaining about bad customer service since I wasn't allowed to listen to the call and went off on a tangent and then the service rep says to me "ARE YOU CALLING ME A LIAR"? I then called customer service at RH she was going to talk to her supervisor and see what they could do, by 4:30 no call back from Jennifer so I called in. She said she had placed calls to the delivery company with no return calls.~ I asked why RH would use them if they could not even get a return call let alone a customer getting any service from them, and why did she not circle back with me instead of me chasing her down to get an answer. A call and email from delivery company that they are getting it to me that evening but it would be late and was this ok, I responded to the call and email yes, 5:00 I called them and oops NO they could not get a truck. RH calls and while I am on the phone, the Manager calls from Delivery company and tells me the truck broke down. Dude, at least get your lies straight. TERRIBLE SERVICE, 2 CHAIRS ARRIVED DAMAGED, NO CALL FROM RH AND ENORMOUS WASTE OF TIME ON CUSTOMERS END. THIS ALONE WOULD MAKE ME NOT PURCHASE FROM RH IN THE FUTURE. The first floor of this gallery houses traditional furnishings, the second floor is dedicated to modern, 3rd floor is for babies, children and teens and the 4th floor is outdoor furniture. When you enter RH it's like stepping into a beautiful magazine.
