Best For Less Jamaican Jerk — Restaurant in Tampa

I was craving some Jamaican food around 10pm on a Friday and I noticed that they closed at 11 so I went to pick up some food. I got some oxtail and some fried plantains and let me tell you it was to die for. Oxtail was paired with the Jamaican style rice mixed with some large brown beans. Also came with cabbage veggies. Super flavorful. Meat fell off the bone. Yumm. Portion was large and I thought price was much cheaper than most places. Definitely cheaper than Jerk Hut right around the corner. The lady that was working there was so sweet and nice and had the most beautiful Jamaican accent. I will definitely be coming back because I want to try their Ackee Saltfish, because I never had that before and it just sounds so good. First off this is a greasy spoon if I ever saw one. I asked if he served jerk chicken since I did not want pork. He said yes so I asked for a dinner. I also got a jamaican beef patty and a bottled juice beverage. The only thing I enjoyed was the drink, maybe because it had Bob Marley's name on it! The beef patty crumbled after one bit into pieces my guess is old or overcooked. But what really upset me is that when I got back to my hotel I got pork spare ribs (fatty and greasy) covered with some BBQ sauce over a bed of nasty tasting dirty rice and a side of cabbage that looked disgusting! I’d give them 0 Stars if I could. Went there today after driving an hour and tried to use a Groupon. The door was open. Jerk was cooking. The we’re open sign was on. As soon as I said I had a Groupon a lady said the “guy” that deals with those is not here. She said every time someone uses a Groupon the restaurant does not get reimbursed. She then said they were closed. I said it looks open and the sign says open. She said no they were closed. I said I drive here an hour and she said they are closed.
