Cigar City Cider & Mead — Restaurant in Tampa

If you like cider and meads this is the obvious place to go and I'm not sure that as of the writing if there is any other place similar in the Tampa Bay area.

They have a very good assortment of ciders and meads all on tap and to the best of my recollection all their brews. We sampled about five meads and a cider. We are not much of mead drinkers but did find the experience interesting and actually found a couple of meads that we would sit down with sip and relax. As for the cider they, had a habanero and strawberry that was super spicey and awesome tasting. Warning it was hot!

The floor space is very open with high ceiling and plenty of natural light entering the building. The open areas just seem to be missing something. I would have liked to see more themed decorations artwork or something. the place looked very clean with the appropriate volume of background music.

Nickki served us and was super friendly, very knowledgeable and just a joy to be around. She had a very infectious smile and nice demeanor about herself. If it was not for her assisting us with choices and very accurate descriptions we would have been lost in...

We love craft beverages which is why we ended up at Cigar City Cider & Mead during our visit to Ybor City in Tampa Florida. We’re familiar with Cigar City’s beers and have visited their other brewery in Tampa. Although the main facility is the powerhouse of the company, the Cider and Mead operation in historic Ybor is much more of an experience. We enjoyed a flight of some of their excellent craft beverages and showcase the beautiful and historic tasting room.

We were impressed with the diverse selection of ciders and meads and would have loved to have been able to taste all the incredible flavors. What a tasting! The quality of the beverages created in this location is top notch. Smooth and rich, each one was flavorful and delightful on the palate.

We were also impressed with the customer service. We had the opportunity to meet the General Manager, Russell, who was knowledgeable, welcoming, and demonstrated a passion for the beverages they produce as well as the entire company. We can’t wait to get back to try some of their other flavors. What an amazing visit. We highly recommend Cigar City...

Disappointed in our Saturday visit to Cigar City Cider and Mead on Saturday. It was afternoon, only about 6-8 customers when we walked in. No greeting from the bartender. We sat at a table and I had to walk over to get a sheet of paper for our order and walk up to the bar to give the bartender our order. We also had to go get it from the bar and carry to our inside table. Bartender did not check on us once while we drank our flights. I had to walk back up and get our tab to pay. Customer service was severely lacking.

Our bill was $52 for two flights which is absolutely ridiculous. I don’t know if we were charged wrong or what, but $26 each for 4 small tastings is insane to me and I go out all over Tampa including Ybor.

Sadly enough, we won’t return and we live locally in Tampa. We went to Tampa Bay brewing next and had a pleasant customer service experience and flights there for much more reasonable prices. We will just enjoy other local brewery...
