I'm a great lover of coffee, and visit all the independent coffee shops in Tampa frequently. Tried this one twice, and have been disappointed both times. The address on Google is wrong, so our first visit involved a five minute confused walk up and down the street to find the place. An employee had to come out to wave us in to where to go. Coffee was ok, but the $8 waffle was a waste of money - barely a step above an Eggo and generic fake syrup.
Today, I give it a second try. Thought I'd do some remote work from there. However, upon arriving, the place has been taken over by a film crew, lights, noise, tons of people --- not sure if the place was open or not, I wandered another five minute confused walk before an employee waved me in. Ordered one of their specialty drinks and a chicken burrito and try to find a place to set up my laptop, as the crew was taking up 75% of the room.
Burrito was sad - basic shredded chicken in a low rate flour tortilla, and half cold. They handed me my drink, and it was iced. I hate iced coffee, never order iced coffee, wouldn't have ordered it if their menu SAID it was iced coffee, and nor did the barista ever ask me. At that point I had to leave for work, so I abandoned the drink, wasting the money.
I won't come here anymore. It's pretty inside, true, very Instagrammable. Come here, take your selfie and leave. All flash and no...

ON TO THE MENU If a place makes a macchiato way smaller than bowl of ramen, then you know they're legit. Great balance of a dash of sour, 'roastiness,' all balanced with the foam and sweetener I asked for. A black espresso also reflected this balance and care of flavors. As usual, the presentation of the items is beautiful.
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION Inside, this Elevation is such a great hangout. Tall ceilings, chairs swinging from the ceiling, plenty of tables and sockets for those remote workers, and a wonderful (dare I say, Instagrammy) back patio when the weather is nice. Currently, there's NO SIGNAGE on the windows of the store - only 'Flower Kombucha.' Only a sign on the sidewalk indicated Elevation, and if you were driving, you wouldn't see it because it can be blocked by a parked car. On weekdays, it's easy to find street parking a very...
Read moreWhen we arrived at Tampa International Airport, we were craving a good cup of coffee. On our way home, we searched for a nearby spot and found Elevation Coffee Roasters.
Since it was the weekend, we were lucky to find convenient street parking. The moment we walked in, we loved the cozy, welcoming vibes of the coffee shop.
From the menu, we ordered a latte, which arrived quickly. It was hot, rich, and smooth, made with fresh coffee beans.
It was easily one of the best lattes we've had, the perfect way to fuel our morning.
While traveling, I was looking for a coffee shop to have coffee and a quick bite. I searched near me and added the stop for Elevation Coffee Roasters. It is a cool coffee shop with a positive atmosphere around Hyde Park. There is ample roadside parking. I was greeted by the server, and from the menu, I decided to order a Hot Latte with Whole Milk and Vanilla Flavor, along with a quick bite of an Oat Breakfast Cookie. I first got the breakfast cookie, which was delicious, and I loved the cookie. Then I got my coffee, which was hot and seemed like freshly brewed. The flavor was also amazing. Loved my...
