Hattricks — Restaurant in Tampa

As a place to drink and cheer on some local sports, this is a great place with a great vibe. Especially for Lightening fans. As a place to just eat, the food is okay.

The wings are always hyped up here so had to give them a try. I did it Dave's way. Average sized wings that were heavy on the salt with a mild heat and a strong garlic finish. Overall. A decent wing but far from perfection for my taste buds.

Then moved to the Coppertail Sausage Sandwich for something that seemed unique. Overall, it seemed the arugula was out of place and sausage patty a tad dry. The flavors just weren't coming together seamlessly. I say lose the arugula and then add an egg and swap to American Cheese and top with a NY style house made onion sauce. But then, that's a whole different creation. I'd just opt for just a solid Italian sausage sandwich sandwich done county fair style with peppers and onions and marinara over this one any day.

As a highlight though, the side salad was great. The salad itself was plentiful and had a great mix of ingredients. Unfortunately the salad itself was the highlight of all the food, but not the dressing. While there were some nice chunks of blue cheese in the blue cheese dressing, there was nothing unique about the dressing itself. A good blue cheese dressing made in house with some fresh spices to give it some jive would have been perfect.

Overall. The food is more photogenic than flavorgenic. But, if you are a sports bar kinda person or need to catch a game on the screen, give this...

I just want to start by saying that I am a Tampa local born and raised. Have always been a fan of this establishment until last night when my friends and I were asked to leave. The situation went exactly like this. We walked up to the bouncer at the front wanting to enjoy some food after a night out. Showed all our ID's and there was not an issue. However when me and my friend in the Navy went in and showed two forms of ID we were asked to wait as the waitress helping us took our IDs and said she needed to talk to her manager. My friend shows both his FL ID and his military ID and I show both my FL ID and Global entry ID. You can say almost as a two-step form of verification. However the manager insisted on kicking my whole group out because 'there was a discrepancy" with the IDs. The discrepancy he was talking about was in the way our ID photos were cropped. Absolutely appalled by this nonsense my group left and we were adamant on never supporting this business again. The fact that the manager looked at two forms of ID and said there was a discrepancy in the way our photos were cropped is something that is a minor imperfection in everyone's ID. And that was clearly seen when we all compared our IDs. I will not support this level of incompetence and negligence especially when my friend who has been serving this country was turned down right after veterans day because of some photo-cropping "discrepancy" that is on many other IDs and is out of our control. As such, Hattricks will be losing...

I can’t normally give a review on something that I never was at, had they’re food or let alone been to Florida. Something that bothered me here earlier, I follow them on Instagram and Facebook, and maybe one of the girls who worked there was either reading something, or gave me this unpleasant look because she thought I was ugly, who knows.

Anyways, getting to where I was getting at, I joined they’re livestream on Instagram, and I’m not really blaming the girl who started the livestream, but some girl who also worked there came by while the other one was away from the cash register, and seen me in the livestream. Gave me this look, I can’t really explain it, but gave me this look like I was unpleasantly looking or like a derogatory look…

Just kind of like, ugh, that guy is not good looking at all. Just kind of like, he only has a face a mother could love… I’m not sure who she was, and for a while by looking at pics… the food looked really good, and if I ever came to Florida I was gonna step in, and try something… but because of what happened here, I’ll just stay away. I don’t wanna go to a restaurant where I creep out girls or let alone people.

Next time in the livestream, I’ll just not join anymore. They’re lucky I follow the page on both Facebook, and Instagram. But that was rude, maybe she was looking at something else, I don’t know?. It just looked...
