My fiance and I made the unfortunate mistake of stopping into this place to have a quick breakfast before heading to the aquarium. This place is not a restaurant. It's more of a deli for employees that work in the office building it's located in. The woman behind the counter was one of the rudest people I've ever met. There was no greeting you'd normally experience at a service counter--just a blank stare as we tried to decide what we wanted. She seemed annoyed that she had to do her job. We ordered a couple of breakfast wraps. I asked if there was hot water available for tea and the reply I received was a grunt and a point towards the coffee station. I then went over to the coffee station and all that was there was pre-made coffee and cold tea. My fiance was fed up at this moment and went back to tell her there was no hot water available. She said she would help me find it. I stood there for about 10 minutes then 2 staff members from the back came out with a container of hot water. They said nothing, giggled, and ran back into the kitchen area. We were seriously contemplating leaving at this point, but thought, surely, our wraps would be coming any moment, and we could just eat them quickly and get out. It took about 15 minutes for the wraps to come out!!! We ate as fast as we could praying nothing was done to our food. We couldn't get out of there quick enough....

Read moreWas visiting Tampa and looking for a good and fairly priced breakfast place and came across this. It was about a 10 minute walk from the Marriott I was staying in so I decided to give it a go, especially as I wasn't willing to pay $16 for a breakfast sandwich at the hotel. The cafe is in the southwest corner of the 2nd floor of the Wells Fargo building and I definitely felt a little out of place since everyone walking in was wearing business clothes and I was in jeans and flip flops. Oh well :) I ordered a breakfast sandwich with bacon, fried onions and mushrooms on Cuban bread and it was very good and the perfect amount of food for me!
The only negative thing I have to mention is that when I asked some questions about the breakfast sandwich options, the women working looked at me like I was crazy for asking and simply responded with "What do you mean? You can put on it whatever you want." and when I followed up with what are my options, again a look of confusion and then they started to list off some ingredients. It didn't list on the menu what veggies, cheese, or meat options you had and at what cost.
Regardless, I highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for a tasty yet cheap...
