Normally this would be a higher rating mainly because it's an easy steakhouse to pop into without a reservation and you're usually going to get an awesome meal. Tonight was not that night. The restaurant was busy and the wait was around 35-40 minutes. We waited for quite awhile and I did go up and ask about our seating. The gentleman was very nice and explained it to me. We were finally seated and Logan, our waiter showed up quickly. I highly recommend requesting to sit in Logan's section if possible. He is the best of the best and should be working in a higher end restaurant like Bern's. His attention to detail and his impeccable service is the best I have encountered in quite awhile. The appetizers, 2 Wild Wild West Shrimp, were awesome per usual, the trouble started with the salads. I always order my Caesar salad with the dressing on the side and no croutons. They forgot my parmesan cheese and the new person added lime to our dressing. Logan offered to get the manager. No need to get him, we didn't need the salads. We moved on to the main dish. We of course both ordered steak , medium, and baked potato, just butter not loaded. My steak was about 5 minutes before medium and my potato was great. My husband's steak was pretty rare and he ended up with a loaded potato. We had to send it back. Logan apologized profusely and once again offered to get the manager. No need, mistakes happen. About 5 minutes later the steak came back out, looked the same but with a little more char. Back it went. Logan was right there and made the offer. We were confident in the cook so we passed. The steak came out again. More char but still the same inside. Now I needed the manager. The steak was in 5-6 pieces by now from all the checking. The manager on duty was the nice gentleman from check in, DeMarcus. He said no problem he would take it off the bill but he wanted a chance at cooking it. 3rd times not always the charm. It came back swimming in grease, burnt badly on the outside and still waaay to rare. We didn't send it back and were really starting to wonder why this steak couldn't be cooked properly. He couldn't eat it and we were done and afraid to order dessert. Logan, ever the professional, apologized profusely but understood our frustration with the situation. We got the bill. The steak that wouldn't cook was on the bill but we did receive a family discount, 25% off the total. Not happy about having to pay even the $6 for the steak. It wasn't eaten but now cut into 8 pieces. We know we'll go back and are positive everything...
Read moreOkay look this is why I’m giving them one star. I made online reservations for four people at 6:00 pm they said 30-35 mins. We got there at 6:35 and I let the young lady at the front know. She said it will be about 20 mins, mind you okay we had an event to be at 9:00pm so we waited about 35 more mins.this man the I did not get his name but tall white man that looked like the main character off king of the hill, showed up to the podium calling people. I get a text saying you have been taken off the list. Mind you we right there in the middle and no one called my name. I go inside they looking confused and the manger king of the hill no where to be found it’s 7:20 and they said they will seat us soon. When we finally got sat down at 7:40 I asked if we could get a free appetizer since it’s been a horrible experience and we were starving, the waitress said let me ask my manager. So here comes king of the hill looking already set to tell me no with out even hearing me out. I explain everything I just wrote and show him proof he starts to get loud and say he was at the front and called my name and he has been at the front the whole time and didn’t see us …? I simply asked him what’s the process to take my name of the online list did he manually take me off. He ignored it and kept saying he the only one at the front but he wasn’t and he barely was at the front. I believe because I was dressed with urban flair I was being ghetto and trying to get free stuff but in reality I love long horn the food was great after we finally got it at 8:15 pm , it’s about good customer service and truly hearing someone out . He was rude unprofessional, got snippy and loud and I believe he was just being purposely nasty. However, our waitress was amazing She understand and she did her best to accommodate us as quickly as possible. However, that man that man needs to be talked to, and does not deserve to be working with customers with that kind of attitude. The food industry is extremely stressful. I know how restaurants can get however, you need to be in control of your emotions and I believe that he was projecting his frustration of the night onto me and my party. Like I said, I don’t remember his name. He was wearing a red shirt. He’s a tall white man and he looks like the guy from King of the hill a little bit. That’s all my name is Gabriel Palmer and I am a big lover of long horn but I hate bad customer service and I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with how I we...
Read moreThis is the WORST Longhorn I have ever been too. It started with the steak I ordered being rare and not medium rare, but since I was already a few bites in before realizing just how rare it was I decided to just eat it. A steakhouse should know how to cook a steak to order. Then it got worse when I went to use the restroom and apparently the lock on the only toilet stall doesn’t lock so it allowed another guest to walk in on me which was extremely embarrassing. I even double checked the lock to see if maybe I just forgot to lock it by locking it and closing it and trying from the outside and I was able to open it right up. When I got the check I asked why I was being charged for the soup I ordered with my steak. The waiter told me it was because I ordered it. The US is currently going through a lettuce recall so when I first ordered it and asked which salad they had the waiter told me I could either get 2 sides or a soup and a side due to the recall. He never mentioned he planned on charging extra for the soup so me and him began going back and forth about what he said and instead of just taking it off he said I would have to talk to the manager which I was happy to do. He came back and told me he would take the soup off but I still wanted to talk to the manager. It was an older woman that didn’t seem friendly at all. When I told her about the bathroom lock she honestly didn’t seem surprised. I’m sure it’s not the first time they’ve heard it’s broken. All she said was “I’m sorry that happened, have a good night.” It was crazy how she didn’t seem more concerned that all her male guests could potentially be walked in on while pooping. The waiters name was Patricio and if you get him I recommend asking for a different server. THIS...
