The Penthouse Club - Tampa — Restaurant in Tampa

4/25/23 - Went to Tampa for a bachelorette party. The hotel we were staying at was across the street from this place, so we decided to stop by. We went around 10:30pm which was nice because there was a lot of seating available. The bride to be got in for free and I think the cover was 10$ at the time. The only weird thing is no one was throwing money the first 2 hours being there. I guess because it was early and it was a Thursday night (4/20/23). We felt awkward to only give the dancers a buck here and there, so we waited for it to pick up to throw some money. There are lots of dancers and options. They were super nice and checked in to ensure we were good from time to time. The ATM does have a $10 charge. You can get ones from the staff after you get money out. All of the girls had something to offer and I was super impressed with their moves & outfits. They were pasties as well.  As the night got later it started to pick up. We looked over the menu which had some expensive items but sounded tasty. We only ordered some chicken tenders which were really good. The club was also nice and clean and I love the lighting display they have around the dance floor. I visited this club while in Tampa and had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had anywhere. The environment felt disorganized and sketchy from the moment I walked in. I was overcharged multiple times without any explanation, and the staff provided zero accountability when I questioned the charges. When I asked for clarification, I was met with dismissive and defensive attitudes instead of help. They straight up ignored it like it wasnt even happening and I am still dealing with the ramifications with my credit card company. The entire experience left me feeling completely taken advantage of. It’s clear that customer care and honesty are not a priority here. What should have been a fun night out turned into a frustrating situation that cost far more than it should have. I would highly recommend avoiding this place if you value integrity, professionalism, or basic respect for customers. To have the name of penthouse club and to live up to it is what to strive for. The girls were super nice(some were not up to standards most clubs have). I work for one of the largest clubs in the midwest, and some things didnt add up. A valet who only did valet in a tiny lot. The guys in suit jackets were called bouncers, though at any club where i am from they would be directors and staff would act as security. No servers, the entertainers double as servers(i doubt they make any hourly off that which they should[by law], unless stated in their contract. Drinks are pricey but no more than you would expect at a gentleman's club. One of the 'bouncers' , Joel, greated me kindly and warmly and was understanding about an issue i had upon arriving( no fault on their part). They stated they are getting a hige remodel soon.
