DO NOT ORDER THROUGH THE APP!!!! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY I’ve been a loyal McDonald’s customer for decades and for the past several years I have been using their app to place my orders because it’s convenient and usually they have deals. However, on my most recent order when I arrived to the drive thru speaker to tell them the order code they told me that their “system is down”. I was disappointed obviously. I had just gotten off a long day at work and was looking forward to a little comfort food. When I asked about a refund the person I spoke to said they couldn’t offer me a refund either. I got back on the app to see if there was anyway to fix the situation remotely but No. Every pathway I followed led me back to the restaurant locator which doesn’t provide any sort of contact information. Eventually I was able to locate a number for the location i ordered at and after listening to phone ring for a couple minutes someone finally answered. I explained the situation and was told that there’s nothing they can do and I would have to come back in person in the morning and speak to the manager. Seriously? This is the absolute worst way to treat a loyal customer. I literally have over 16,000 points on the app. You have to eat a shameful amount of McDonald’s food to get that many points. Obviously customer loyalty, convenience, and basic business etiquette don’t concern them. Read moreI came through the drive through to pick up my App order and the lady says she can't find it because the App is down. I explained that it had processed the order and won't let me cancel. She keeps telling me the money will automatically go back to my card but there's nothing she can do to help me. I ask to speak with a manager. She leaves me waiting never returns, so I drive to the window and start to ask her about this issue and she shrugs her shoulders at me. I then tell her I need my money back if they are not going to make my order. Another woman comes to the window gets real nasty and says you'll get your money back in a couple days. Then shuts the window on me. I drive around and go inside. I see the first lady Maria and I ask her for the corporate number. She ignores me. I ask her again, she continues to ignore me. I then proceed to Google the corporate number and she screams to the back of the store for another manager to come up. His name was dexter. He greeted me with a smile, was very polite and when I explained the situation, he turned around grabbed a bag behind him and asked are you Ivy. I said yes. The order had been sitting there the whole time. After all that, these two awful women were too lazy to look for my order and it was there the whole time. Read moreThe girl taking the order was pleasant, but when approached to pay, didn't open the window because she was taking other orders. She didn't look at us, so i thought we had to move up to another window for payment. Realized that the other window was the pick-up window where the other workers complained. No receipt at payment, then they tell me there's only one shake. The manager says I have to go all the way back around thru to order again, and she can't give me a receipt to move forward because I'm in the way. Went back into the line at the drive-through, explained to the girl taking the order. It took her a while for her to find our order to print the receipt. Then the manager hands me the receipt so I was able to see they only charged me for one shake, the manager shut the window then she saw I wanted something she opened the window and I explained I needed the other milkshake. She said to me, "Why didn't you order when you were going through the drive-thru? You're making this so complicated." Then I said, "If I got the receipt when I was at the pick-up window, when I paid, we wouldnt be sitting here for ten minutes trying to find the receipt from an order that was taken thirty minutes ago.". The manager then said to me "Your so rude.". And I stated they need to work on their customer service. Definitely will avoid that McDonald's location next time.
