Update: Looks like its Tampa's curse that we cannot have a good Indian restaurant who has consistent quality. Updating from 5 starts to 1 because the last few times we ordered doordash the quality has been consistently going down hill. The meat was always over cooked, mutton had gamy smell, the biriyani right out the box looked clearly like it was yesterday's left over, badgis had oil oozing out. I did'nt want to say anything as everyone has bad days but todays order was the final straw. Especially when you consider the outrageous prices, two dishes costing close to 55$ for takeout, the quality being served is crininal. The salna was literally just water today. I dont understand how these restaurants thinks they can get away with anything especially when charging outrageous prices. I had recommended this restaurant to everyone I know and have been a regular but today is the last straw, never going back again.
Original review which makes no sense now: Namaste Express is the only Indian restaurant in Tampa that I can honestly give a 5-Star Review. After a decade of living in Tampa, experiencing the mediocrity that is the Indian food scene in the city, I am truly ecstatic that a place like Namaste Express opened up right here in New Tampa. My glowing review is due to the fact that both the menu and taste reflects the authentic taste of South Indian cuisines (especially if you are from Tamilnadu) which you cannot get anywhere else in Tampa. I would absolutely recommend and urge anyone to try out this restaurant especially the Meals here AKA Chatti Choru to truly experience a cuisine that is filled with flavor and will leave you wanting more. Everything that we've tried here which is most of the items offered on menu from the Seeraga Samba Biriyani to the Kothu Parota was amazing but the special meals was the highlight. Kudos to the owners and Chef and hopefully you can continue to maintain the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe visited Namaste Express Indian Cuisine in New Tampa and had a great experience! Being vegetarians, we tried the Vegetarian Thali, Rawa Dosa, Medu Vada, and Uttapam, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic and perfectly balanced.
A special shoutout to the owner, Mr. Murali, who personally came to our table to check on us and ensure we were satisfied. That thoughtful gesture truly stood out and made us feel valued.
The staff was welcoming and very polite, and while the restaurant is a bit small, itās cozy and doesnāt take away from the five-star quality of the food. I also appreciated the use of modern technology for orderingāit made the process smooth and efficient.
Good luck, Mr. Murali! Keep up the great work and maintain the amazing quality. Weāll definitely be visiting again with our family. Thank you for a wonderful...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI should start off with I am no expert in Indian food. India is an incredibly diverse country with many cuisines. Let me say the food here was wonderful. All of the sauces were amazing, but I had to look up what they all were. We had asked for no spice, but the one chicken dish almost melted my brain. Perhaps it was no spice for frequent customers. No matter, it was still excellent. Next time before I come here, I need to do some research on what everything is, because they did not appear to have what I am accustomed to. I saw others refer to it as a South Indian restaurant? I believe it was the owner came over to ask if I was enjoying the food. I thought that was very nice. This place was full on a Saturday night with people enjoying the food. I am definitely going to come back, but I will be a bit more...
