Wine on Water - Bar & Shop — Restaurant in Tampa

Really didn’t want to leave a review, but last visits was so disappointing. I live across the street and have been going to wine in water since they were open. I’m not sure quite what’s going on lately, but the quality of service and and wines have been on the decline for months now. No offense to any of the new people, I’m sure they are lovely people, but they have no clue what is going on in that store or anything about wine. Really disappointing because the usual crew (who I assume aren’t there anymore )Morgan, Shella, Savannah, Ryan, Nikki and Amy were always so inviting and just all around the best part of going to the shop and I haven’t seen any of them in a few months which makes sense with the decline in service and just knoweledge of wine. Beginning with terrible service. Was given two glasses of wine from the same bottle. One look like apple cider - very cloudy (could not see through it) and the other was a very clear glass of wine. Was told they were the exact same and was not given opportunity to change (was looked down upon if I did not realize that they were not from the same bottle, very condescending) Choked on the tannins and all up and down my glass at last sip and when I pointed it out to them, they just rolled their eyes and did absolutely nothing. Very disappointed. I have been to many Vineyards and have had many organic bottles of wine and never have I experienced such a poor service for a glass of wine for over $20 per glass. I absolutely LOVE Wine on Water. I haven’t bought wine at a grocery store in so long because they have me spoiled with the amazing selection and the wonderful people that work there. Morgan was incredible the last time I stopped in with a friend for some orange wine. She spent a lot of time speaking to us about the options, educated us on orange wine, and then took care of us when we decided to have a glass of wine outside. It is just a wonderful place to visit if you’re in the market for something different, or if you’re just looking to have a glass of wine with or without friends.
