Chill Bros Scoop Shop — Restaurant in Tampa

For weeks now, my boyfriend and I have been going to the chill bros in soho (and love it), so we were super excited to try this one. However, we were really let down due to the horrendous service. The girl who served us was giving major attitude and just truly seemed miserable to be in our presence. My boyfriend wanted two scoops, but 4 flavors, (which is something the chill bros in soho happily does for him), but she wasn’t listening I guess? To be honest I couldn’t tell you what she was thinking, but after he said the second flavor, she threw in the cone piece and decided to give him the ice cream before he was done with his order. Then, when I was going to order, she turned around and took the order for the person behind us… she eventually took my order, but that was incredibly rude. When it was time to pay, she didn’t even ask if we were together or separate, she just did it without saying anything. I understand that she could be quiet, but she was just flat out rude and does not know how to properly serve people with kindness. I’m giving two stars because the ice cream deserves more than 1 star, but the service was a -5 in my book. We were so disappointed and it ruined the...

I got one scoop with two flavors, sicilian pistaschio and double down. They were really delicious-especially the pistachio which often just tastes like almond paste when made more cheaply. I would give the taste alone 5 stars.

However, I'm taking 2 off because there was a 25 cents upcharge for I don't even know what, because it wasn't disclosed in the menu or verbally. The service was so fast-paced that I wouldn't have even noticed the upcharge if I hadn't glanced down when they were punching the order into the check-out screen. Maybe it was for choosing 2 flavors? But on the menu, it clearly says you can choose 2 flavors with one scoop and doesn't indicate anything about it costing extra. It was so busy when we were there and the service was so fast-paced that I didn't get a chance to ask about it, and I didn't want to hold up the line either.

Obviously, 25 cents isn't going to break the bank, but speedily and seemingly randomly throwing in undisclosed upcharges of any amount isn't okay with me at any...

First time stopping at a Chill Bros, and wowwww bro- this is the place! There are a million and one ice cream shops theses days so I feel it’s hard to be impressed by one anymore, but Chill Bros did the job.

I had stopped at Yura Vine next door and they recommended a stop here, so I looked no further. The shop has a pretty cool aesthetic, it feels very retro and fun. They also have a lot of unique flavors compared to the typical ice cream offered in a shop.

So, I had to try the guava pastelito ice cream. This baby has literal guava paste and pastelito pastry blended right into it, and it is just marvelous. I don’t make statements like this lightly but it’s probably one of my favorite ice creams I’ve tried to date. Yeah, that good bro. I’d drive the hour drive from where I live just to have that ice cream again.
