This hotel gets a lot of things right—but I want to start with the one thing that drives me crazy, and it’s something Hilton’s been doing lately. The TV remote and TV guide setup is just plain frustrating. There are no number buttons on the remote, so if the channel you want starts with a letter far down the alphabet, you have to scroll through every single channel to get to it. Even worse, there’s no way to jump back to the previous channel you were just watching. It's a small thing, but it really takes away from the experience when you just want to relax. Now, onto the good stuff—because there's plenty of it. The location is excellent. It’s in a nice part of downtown Tampa that I hadn’t explored before. It's close to the highway, near the port if you're cruising, and it's a fun area to walk around in. The hotel offers breakfast, which is always a welcome perk. What really impressed me, though, was the size of the room. I stayed in a one-bedroom king suite on the corner, and it was incredibly spacious. From the kitchen and living area to the bedroom and bathroom, every part of the suite felt generous and comfortable. The floor-to-ceiling windows gave me a great view of the city, and the room was both stylish and cozy. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, and the bathroom had a large stand-up shower. The kitchen had a full-size fridge and dishwasher, and I appreciated the note saying that if you need a cooking pot, they’ll bring one up for you. The hotel also has a rooftop pool on the 6th floor with really nice views of downtown, along with a surprisingly well-equipped fitness center for a hotel of this size. Despite the terrible TV setup, I’d absolutely stay here again. It’s a great place to base yourself while exploring Tampa.

So me and my family (me, wife, and daughter)was looking for a hotel close to the cruise port in Tampa Bay. After looking around using my timeshare and not finding anything close (like always). I found availabilities at Home 2 Suites by Hilton. It was near the port of Tampa where our Carnival Cruise ship was. I booked a room via the Hilton app. The room was a one-bedroom with a sleep sofa. The room had a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and the kitchen sink. I can't quit remember if it had a cook stove top. We arrived roughly midnight or 1:00 in the morning, after driving all day. We were greeted by Josephine. We stayed one full day, then left to port the next morning around check out time. Ok, now let's get into the reasons why I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel for anyone traveling to the Tampa Bay area for the local attractions and/or going on a cruise. 1.) Room was spacious clean and had everything you needed in the room. 2.) Had a wonderful window view.(I could see the whale tail of the cruise ship.) 3.) Parking was in my opinion the cheapest around. 4.) They allowed me to park my car there for the duration of my cruise. (which was cheaper than the port parking, I had a oversized vehicle) 5.) Most importantly they had a FREE SHUTTLE that will take you to the cruise ship port terminal, AND pick you up and bring you back to your car when you return. Thank you, to Home 2 Suites by Hilton, and to Josephine for answering and giving me all the info when I showed up at midnight. Thank you. If I'm ever in the area again I will be staying there.

Awesome Experience! We are giving five stars to home2 & hampton hotel for their amazing customer service by their staff. Kimberly (the sales director that made the whole process very smooth for the group), the front Desk staff, Denise was great and Anthony was really friendly with us at night) and in general everybody was awesome, smiling all the time and greeting you with a happy face. We used this hotel to do our "Best friend Reunion" on 06/25 - 06/27 about 30 people and we enjoyed their pool, their breakfast, the Starbucks in the lobby is a plus, the rooms were roomy and comfortable, the meeting room was very convenient for our party at night!!... Thank You Home2, we will definitely return! Recommendations to the hotel management: Our room was not really clean, the bed was not neat and there were some hairs in the shower. Even when you had a seal at the room door I could feel that the room was not really clean, so you may do some inspections before sealing.

My fiancé and I recently stayed here for a little over two weeks. For the most part, we had a great stay even though some things were closed due to the pandemic. The hotel staff was great and very accommodating to us, as well we our 8 month old son. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Tampa or the downtown area. My only problem was with receiving credits for nights that I was overcharged. I am still haggling with them and my bank over these charges as they say it may take up to 30 days to receive these funds back. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue but we have been getting work done on our home and we have to maintain our budget so we don’t lose the headway we have made on fixing our home while we stayed here. Thank you all for the great hospitality! We will see you soon hopefully!

Edit* My wife and I have still not received our 50$ that were held for incidentals and we have given it well over a month since our check out. Not sure why this is and still don’t understand how I paid my balance on the 9th but was charged another night on the 11th after being charged and reimbursed immediately on the check out date of the 10th and was never told about a balance or asked to clear any debt owed upon our departure. I’m not understanding how I was caught up to date with my payment and paid my final balance of 105.34 in cash and received a print out saying my balance was .00 and my check out was on the 10th which was a Wednesday and got charged on a Thursday for another night but didn’t have any notification or explanation upon us departing which I believe is common courtesy and normal policy wherever you go. When you go out to eat, you don’t pay for the first course and get the bill as the second course is arriving and subsequently get charged for the 2nd course without your authorization or signature... I loved our stay there but the issues I have had are deterring me from booking with Hilton on my upcoming vacation and we are honors members. Hopefully this can be rectified, as I once thought...

We checked in last night. We're staying for a couple of nights only (still here). Room seemed to be clean. I really hope the bedding was actually washed. This place is special! Especially for the rate they're charging. I have attached photos for you to see how Home2 Suites made our room bed.

Started with the fitted sheet inside out. Layed the top sheet finished side up. Finished with the mattress pad upside down.

The front desk people are slow as hell. It took forever to check in last night. We were told that our room key would stop working today and that we needed to come to the front desk to change it in the morning. No problem!

My spouse and I went down and made the change. However, later in the day when I went to grab lunch and came back to our room, the key wasn't working. I had to go back again and they gave me two new keys. I'd like to mention that, while I was waiting at the front desk, I asked to Michael if I could get a courtesy water and she responded, "If you need a water, we DO sell them over there!"

In addition to our not so great experience. The elevator in the parking lot is either extremely slow or is not working. I pushed the button and waited for approximately 10 minutes and the elevator never arrived. I didn't mind finding the stairs to go up to level 4th where I had parked, but it would have been nice to see an out of order sign so I wouldn't have waited so long.

The elevator in the hotel is very slow, too. This hotel definitely isn't up to the service standards of other Hilton Hotels I've stayed in.

I don't think I will stay here...
