Ybor City Tap House — Restaurant in Tampa

I'm usually a big fan of Brass Tap, and the Ybor location is in one of the best locations in Ybor City, right in Centro Ybor. Usually the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the beer and menu. Maybe it was an off day, but the service and food were both horrible. When I inquired about a beer, the server acted as if I bothered her by asking a question. When I asked a simple question about an item on the menu, which was how many lettuce wraps do you get in an order, her response was "I don't know". ... ??? Ok. (you get 3 by the way). Pretty much after that, we never saw the server again. Someone else brought our food to the table, and that was it. After finishing our food and beer, we sat there with our empty glasses and plates for close to 25 minutes before server finally did come back, at which point, we just took the check and left. The beer was fine, but only was able to have one. The food was tasteless and looked as if it was just thrown together. The meat in the lettuce wraps, which was not only cold but very sparse, it was basically 3 small lettuce leaves filled with a ton of cabbage and maybe 3 or 4 small pieces pieces of chicken (imagine 3/4 the size of a dime). Same with the chicken in the quesadilla. The quesadilla was also thrown together and was barely cooked enough that the cheese inside of it wasn't even melted. As I said, this is such a shame because I have always been a fan of Brass Tap. There's so many other places local in Ybor to get a beer, better food and WAY better service -- Cigar City, Tampa Bay Brewing, & Rock Brothers are just a few steps away. Went there on Saturday night with some friends. Arrived around 8pm and our waitress was horrible. She didn't write any of our orders down and had to repeatedly come back and ask us what we wanted. Took asking my friend three times what kind of drink she wanted (it was just for a Sprite). The burger we ordered was wrong, didn't come with pickles or the right kind of cheese (we asked for American and we got cheddar, they don't even have American cheese). Our total bill was $29 and change, I gave the waitress (who we witnessed behind the bar consuming multiple alcoholic drinks) a $100 bill. When she gave us our change she gave us $29. We should have received $71. I asked three times to speak to a manager and she refused. I ultimately had to go up to the bar myself and speak to a manager to get the correct change. The pretzel appetizer and quesadillas were decent but the service was HORRIBLE. They also didn't have any Miller lite or Stella in a bottle....on a Saturday...at a bar. Will...

The manager is a complete jerk. I went there on 3/7/16 around 6pm with a couple friends to hang out before a concert. We all tried an "interesting beer" recommended by the manager. We asked for a pitcher & he said "you're not getting a pitcher, that'll cost you $34." Yet he had no problem giving us 3 small glasses & charging us $28. They also have/had a sign in the mens bathroom that says if you text "brass1" to a certain number then you get a free beer (if you don't believe me try it for yourself; the number is 72727, [you can unsubscribe after you do it]). When I went to redeem it, he refused to honor their advertisement & he literally laughed in my face & said "yea right, you're not getting a beer." For him to not honor that is FALSE ADVERTISING which is ILLEGAL. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY & TIME AT THIS SORRY...
