Crowbar....what can I say? .......As a true introvert, its literally one of my favorite places on earth. The people, music , food and vibes....its indescribable. A true sensory overload. Every week there is a new artist to acquaint and appreciate..plus some big names and chances to perform as an artist. This is my church...Every Sunday Night is Ol Dirty Sundays, the highlight of my week. I truly get what i need to face another week adulting...🙄 Its like church for those whose religion is music and love.💕.. I HIGHLY recommend on all levels. Cheap drinks, artisan food with real artists = Visual, Lyrically, Production. AND Culinary. ..Nationally acclaimed AND you can buy/request originals! You can literally get your mind, body and soul fulfilled at this place. It is home for those who walk their own individuality. Everyone is treated with respect and always happy you came. It like a Wu-Tang Cheers. The networking chances are unparalleled. This place influenced my self confidence and ability to express myself as an artist....plus they have events where people/artists like me have a chance to be heard. If you love hip hop or underground music of any type...this place is truly your Mecca. Im proud such a place exists in my community. This place is truly a real Gem of Tampa.....from the perspective of a Tampa...
Read moreBought tickets for Snarky Puppy with a show time of 8 p.m. Got there at 7:30 expecting to go inside, be welcomed, sit down, have something to drink. That did not happen. There was a large crowd of over 100 people outdoors, and we were made to stand there for over two hours in heat and humidity. It was brutal. Many people were in pain from standing so long; not everyone there was a teenager or twentysomething. At some point a rude blonde woman came out and made the entire crowd move to one side of the door. Cattle herding, anyone? Sound check didn't start until 8:30. Why advertise for 8 p.m. then make people wait two hours in line and two and a half for the headline act? The place is a dump, as well. The bartenders didn't do much business; would have been SMART business-wise to allow paying ticketholders in to cool off and have a drink, and let the bartenders earn some tips, but no. No rhyme or reason to this place; would NEVER go there again, not even for Snarky Puppy, who should book a professional venue next time, not a dog and pony show like this dive....
Read moreI've been there for the first two days of Absolution Fest, and then again tonight for the Wingtips show, with Violet Silhouette and Vision Video opening. I had to swap cards to hold My tab, so that I could buy a CD and shirt from Vision Video. I let them know that I would pay with the first card at the end of the night, but they forgot and charged the second card. Although it was only $4, it would have overdrafted, so I asked them to reverse and let Me pay with the first.
They did but refused to take My money on the first. I had the cash (plus tip), but they wouldn't accept it, probably thinking that I'm hurting financially. This was above and beyond, and having been denied the means to properly support the venue, I wanted to give them this review, and to thank them again for their kindness. I can't say enough good...
