Stepping into Rice and Ramen in Tumon, Guam, I had the unparalleled pleasure of indulging in their Tinaktak, an exquisite dish that has left me daydreaming ever since. This isn't just any meal; it's a masterpiece drenched in a heavenly coconut cream sauce, each bite more tantalizing than the last. The red onions, eggplant, and mushrooms were harmonized to perfection, embodying culinary magic that is simply rare to find. Every element of the dish was treated with the utmost respect it deserved, making it clear that this was no ordinary preparation but an art form. The mushroom, in particular, was a revelation, cooked to such perfection it seemed to melt in the mouth, leaving a trail of rich, earthy notes complemented by the subtle sweetness of the coconut cream. This experience wasn't just dining; it was an odyssey of flavors, meticulously prepared and presented with prowess. Rice and Ramen in Tumon isn't just a restaurant; it's a destination for those chasing the pinnacle of culinary delight. Five stars barely do justice to this...
Read morePretty nice, temp and noise was alright. Front door is sagging so it's scraping along the ground and won't close without pulling it in.
Got the tinatak rice bowl and a pork belly bao. Comes with a drink so you just pick one of whatever they had, go an assam peach tea.
Pork belly bao was good, flavorful meat and soft bread they pan seared or something because it had a crispy crust. Meat was really juicy, was dripping out the bao.
Tinatak was nice, colorful with lot of veggie garnish that makes you feel healthy. Very rich though, and it's a large bowl so I felt a little sick with how rich it was. Probably would've been perfect if I just didn't eat all of it and took some home. No microwave in my hotel room though so I just powered through.
Potato salad side was nice, skinned carrots and garnish on that too. Taste like Kewpie mayo in there or something...
Read moreOrdered fish and chips, chicken wings rice bowl, crispy mushrooms, and creamy ramen. It was lukewarm, portions were small compared to the price, and the restaurant’s room temperature was uncomfortably hot. It was really soggy, extremely oily, tasted of burnt oil, and clumpy because there were a good amount of chips that weren’t cooked. Because of that and the portions, we ordered the creamy ramen. They didn’t have the original noodles, so they substituted it with ramen noodles. The only item we received hot, but the toppings/garnish seemed lacking compared to other photo reviews of the exact ramen. Overall,...
