I spend a week in Taos in July 2022, lovely town, loved it a lot. I had to bring my van to the garage for some repairs and extended my stay there by a few days. I ended up craving confort food and decided to go to McDo, because well… I love McDonalds Breakfast ! Their indoor area was closed, but the very kind girl on the phone explained to me I could order using the app and that they would bring me the food on the curb-side. Great! As I’m waiting for my food, this guy arrives in his brand new Mercedes, parks in the handicapped parking spot, and get out of his car yelling at me “ARE YOU WAITING FOR A MEAL?” I think it’s another customer happy to see we can still order food even though the indoor area is closed, I’m like “Yeah! You can order on the app!”. My food arrived at that moment so I do not really give him more attention then that. Food was hot, the order was complete, I was hungry and happy! Since I did not have my van with me (still at the garage) and the outdoor patio was also closed, I decided to sit on the curb side, away from the door and in the shade, to eat my breakfast. That’s when everything changed. That guy from before, is rushing in my direction, yelling at me “HEY! HEY ! DON’T SIT THERE, GO EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE!! YOU CAN’T SIT THERE SO YOU UNDERSTAND ME!?”. Turns out this guy is the owner. The owner of this restaurant is yelling at me for the second time in a very short period of time. And he is doing so even thought I’m clearly a paying customer enjoying the food I just got from HIS restaurant.
Please next time you think about having some comfort food at Taos’s McDonalds, don’t do it. Go encourage some local businesses that will be happy to see you. They might tell you you are not allowed to sit in certain places, this happens, it’s okay. But at least they will likely do it with kindness and even start by greeting you, and certainly not treat you like you are some kind of nuisance…
Today was my last day in Taos and I won’t let this angry man ruins my memory of this town! Everybody else here...
Read moreI went to go order a big breakfast with pancakes and when I ordered the guy on the intercom was playing around and didn’t take my order correctly. confident that my order had pancakes. I went to work and I noticed I didn’t have any pancakes so I went back because I didn’t get any pancakes with my order. Unfortunately, when I was talking to the guy on the intercom, he put a disrespectful behavior and as I mentioned, I wasn’t going to pay five dollars extra for some pancakes if he was the one that didn’t take the order correctly. Then while approaching the window, they charge me a dollar for the pancakes for the difference right however, when I was about to leave when I receive my order, the manager told the representative to tell me that next time I had to pay for the pancakes. When the lady came out and told me this, I felt disrespected because it wasn’t my fault that the associate from the intercom didn’t place or put the order correctly on the system and was messing around. And this hasn’t been the first time that I’ve had to deal with bad attitude from one of the representatives or the manager from the McDonald’s location. I told the lady in the window for her to tell the manager to act more professional, and to not be putting her representatives on the spot telling customers that they are not right the manager of this location should have more training in regards of how to handle the escalations She shouldn’t have one of her representatives tell me what she told her and to create...
