When families stop for an ice cream at ANY ice cream shop, they expect to recieve quality products and at least professional services. This is the absolute worst ice cream store I have ever been to, which says a lot, seeings how I love ice cream and get it every chance I get. To start off with, the ice cream we ordered was given to us half melted from the start. I had ordered each of my children a "small fancy cone dipped in sprinkles with sprinkles on top" and than two custom sundaes. When I say that the ice cream was pouring off the cones, I literally mean that as soon as we were handed our ordered it started falling all over the place. The two cones lost almost all the toppings before we could even pull out of the drive thru. By the time we got out of our vehicle to eat the soupy messes, I had already worn more of the slop than my children got to eat. We ended up having to throw away the cones and just gave the kids our sundaes instead which were not in much better shape. So after wasting $20, we ended up trashing all of it while sitting outside the store because we had to clean the disastrous mess out of our vehicle just to be able to leave. That is not the end of the bad experience either. Not only did we basically waste our money, I was also made to endure getting verbally assaulted by the MANAGER of this store! She came out of the establishment and started to jump down my throat because one of her employees apparently passed it along that customers were being told it was drive thru only. So, I guess she assumed I had started telling people this when in reality we had been told this information from another customer. If it had not been for the group sitting across from us informing her that they also were told this information by someone else I'm not sure how far she would have taken the matter. Never in my life have I been treated with such utter disrespect and hostility from a manager of any sort of establishment. As I have worked in various food industries, I know the golden rule when it comes to customer service and customer satisfaction, the motto simply goes, "The customer is always right!". I do not advise people to go to this place unless you want some ice cream soup with a side of harrassment from their management. If it were possible I would have rated this place a negative five star. I made sure to include the photos of the disaster. Please everyone, save your money and just pick a different ice cream store....
Read moreMy husband and I absolutely love this Twistee Treat in Tarpon. Unfortunately we have to give this place a 2-star rating after last nights encounter. As we do on so many weekends when we get the craving for your ice cream we will drive from another County to have some of Twistee treats favorite ice cream. As we arrived exactly at 11:23 p.m. they informed us that the patio was closed and we have to go through the drive-thru we proceed to go through the drive-thru and once there was informed that we cannot get our favorite ice cream as we always get the Twirls. The manager himself informed us that we could not get any flavored or any Twirls ice cream as they close it down at 10:30 p.m. to clean up early so they can get out of work on time. As me and my wife have gone to the tarpon location many times and even at 11:45 p.m. has been able to order Twirls on this evening we were denied. The manager also at first refused to give us the general manager's name as he was trying to claim he was the general manager. When we pulled up to the actual drive-thru window and spoke with the manager he claims that they shut that stuff down at 10:30 so they can have it cleaned up and be able to get out of there on time though the business does not close until 12 a.m. that makes no sense. That would be like going to Burger King and asking for a sandwich a half hour before they close and then telling us sorry we shut our Grill down. Unfortunately my husband and I could not satisfy our craving as we did not have enough time to drive to a another location. That is very sad and unprofessional from a business standard. As most of this was captured on video still not sure if I should share it to see what type of business standards & customer service at this Twistee Treat has at...
Read moreI am utterly shocked at the "service" we received at this location this evening. We thought it odd that a group of 8 walked away and left visibly frustrated when we approached the walk up window, but proceeded to order. We were then informed after giving our full order, providing our phone number to redeem our rewards, and handing over our debit card, that they were only taking cash. This has happened in the past numerous times and they have simply rung it through on the drive thru tablet without a second thought. Tonight, we were handed back our card and told that it was "too busy" and that we would have to physically go through the drive thru to place our order. There was no one in line behind us at the walk up and no one in the drive thru line. I requested to speak with a manager who came out and was EXTREMELY RUDE, identified himself as the AGM, made ZERO attempt to apologize, then proceeded to tell me that he "wasnt the one who said it was too busy" while throwing his hands in the air. I explained that as the manager on duty, he was accountable for his team and was also responsible for de-escalating and rectifying the situation for the paying customer. He again shrugged and said, while laughing, "I can just make it for you now." I will not be disrespected by a "manager" of a business we frequent often and bring visiting guests to, as well. I understand this is just ice cream, but customer service should still be a priority, especially from someone declaring...
