The first few times we dined here, the food was really good and the service was acceptable. 2 years ago, I was rating them 4 stars (customer surveys). But over time, they seem to be losing good staff.
After COVID hit, their curbside pickup was a great experience - food was ready on time, correct to order, high quality, and friendly service. We'd even over-tip since they'd lost their entire in-house clientele to no fault of their own, and we wanted to let them know we appreciated the excellent service. We rated them 5 stars (customer surveys) several times.
Then around October 2020, they started preparing orders wrong: buns and/or cheese on the kids burger which was clearly customized to be just a meat patty on its own due to multiple food allergies (which online ordering allows you to specify to reinforce its importance), some burgers missing their meat, several burgers that were supposed to be lettuce wrapped were put on buns, giving us blue cheese instead of ranch, forgetting the drinks, etc... We started offering standard tips again, and ordered less frequently. I had started rating them 4 stars (customer surveys) on preference issues, and 3 stars (customer surveys) on allergy-related issues. The food and service was still mostly good, but we'd have to find alternate food to eat sometimes, as we couldn't wait an extra 20 minutes for them to cook replacement food)
Then around April 2021, it started to seem like the staff just doesn't care anymore. The food (if/when you actually get it) usually still tastes good, but getting it has become a pain. Their curbside pickup spots are almost always filled...by people just parking there and leaving their cars, NOT picking up food. So sometimes I have to park way out in the boondocks and hike with my 3 young kids to go inside and get our food, where they clearly don't care about helping if you're not dining in. They just tell you to wait and "someone will help shortly". I usually have to ask several different people over an extended period of time before getting our food that's already been ready and waiting. And the times a curbside spot is actually open, we usually end up waiting a long time there too (I usually have to call back a second time to inquire about the status of our order after 10-15 minutes, when my kids start getting restless). And when we do finally get the food, the fries are cold/soggy, the burger buns are soggy, and the lettuce is wilted...as if our food has been ready and sitting out for 15-20 minutes. And sometimes the order is still incorrect to boot.
The food is still decent in taste (but oftentimes not in texture), but the service is beyond lacking, which is why I've rated them 2 stars. I try to do customer surveys, so maybe a higher-up can encourage correcting these issues, but the last few times I tried, it took me up to the last question before "an error occurred" that kicked me out and wouldn't let me fill it out again. So, here I am, sharing my experience with the rest of you instead.
If/when made correctly (and brought out fresh), the food is usually good; but when it's not, it's definitely not worth the price. And if anyone in your party has food allergies or dietary restrictions, you might not want to chance them messing up the order (we typically have backup meals in the freezer, and the allergy-food will get eaten as leftovers by someone else; but paying $5 for a ruined kids burger and/or $15 for a ruined adult burger can still be pretty frustrating). We kept trying to go back every once in a while in the hopes that they had previously had an off day or something, but at this point I think it's safe to say that they just don't care about customer service anymore (especially their curbside customers). Very...
Read moreRed Robin is a popular chain restaurant that offers a variety of tasty dishes for all types of diners, including vegetarians and vegans. I recently had the opportunity to try their veggie burger with two different patties, including the Impossible and the house recipe veggie patties, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed.
The Impossible patty is made from plant-based ingredients and has a remarkably similar taste and texture to real beef. The house recipe veggie patty, on the other hand, is made from quinoa, kale, brown rice, and roasted mushrooms, which gives it a unique and delicious flavor. Both patties were cooked to perfection and served on a soft bun with lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
One of the highlights of the meal was the unlimited fries that come with every burger order at Red Robin. The fries were crispy, perfectly salted, and piping hot. They were so good that I couldn't help but ask for more!
However, the downside of my visit was that I went during peak hours, and the restaurant was too busy at noon. The wait for a table was longer than I anticipated, and the noise level was quite high. However, the attentive and friendly staff made up for it by providing excellent service.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a tasty and satisfying veggie burger, Red Robin is a great place to try. Their combination of the Impossible and house recipe veggie patties, along with their unlimited fries, make for a truly delicious meal. Just be aware that during peak hours, the restaurant can get quite busy, so plan...
