We decided to give this location another try, (first time not very good), after my father shared his experience at the Payson location. He went on and on about how great his food was and the service is always great there. So, we ordered delivery straight from their site later that evening. The 3 for me is a great deal and we were able to get everything we wanted. Ended up being 2 kinds of cheeseburgers, fries, asparagus, side salad, cup of soup and the Texas loaded fries. Everything was overcooked except the asparagus which was undercooked, the side salad was stuffed into a small container, destroying what little integrity the lettuce had and was warm. Items that were supposed to be warm were cold, items supposed to be cold were warm, including the creamy salad dressing. The loaded fries were one solid entity, the fry mass being held together with the cold hard crunchy, burnt cheese. Seemed like nothing but the pre-made soup had any kind of seasonings. Burger buns were soggy on the bottom, unsure why because they were pretty dried and crunchy with any sign of sauces being undetectable. Needless to say, they did not redeem themselves from our first unfavorable experience, but rather reiterated the fact that the kitchen staff desperately needs some cooking lessons. But....I think the most unfavorable interaction, or lack there of, was the fact that I had contacted customer service, via site under "contact us" as well as informed them of our experience via their satisfaction survey they sent us after delivery. Unfortunately, after informing them, twice, of our unsatisfactory experience, not one Chili's representative bothered to reply. No apology, excuse or acknowledgement, but the lack of communication pretty much says it all. Chili's Corp, really, thought more of you. We didn't even request or demand our money back or any other compensation. Just thought they'd like to know what kind of service (or lack of) and products being produced under their brands name. The Chili's in Payson was a regular stop for our whole "gang" when we lived there and we're very disappointed with the only location that's close to us now. Hopefully my experience will finally find its way to someone at Corp. through this outlet, the other contact options must just be there for show. I've worked in various food industries from grocery, resteraunt, to resort F&B management, most important aspect, besides food quality, is Customer Service, relations and/or satisfaction ensuring patrons return. It would be great hearing that additional training of the kitchen & customer relation staff was going to take place, but........in this case no news is not good news. Recommend Chili's, just think twice about this location, at least until they retrain or restaff. So sorry, would have loved to give better review, just wasn't...
Read moreIn the decision making process, it helps to look at all the information. This SWOT is comparing Chili's restaurant to two of its competitors, Ruby Tuesday's and Applebee's. Company History Chili's restaurants are part of the company, Brinker International Corporation. Chili's Bar & Grill is a casual dining restaurant that was founded in 1975 and has expanded to include 1,200 restaurants located domestically and internationally. There menu consists of fresh and healthy American dishes and limited amount of southwestern style Mexican dishes. In the last 30 years, Chili's has created an identifiable, recognizable brand name, just think of the commercials. Chili's Strengths Chili's is the one of the largest full service restaurant chains with over 1,200 stores, second only to Applebee's which has about 1,900 stores. Their competitor Ruby Tuesday has less than 900 stores with many of those franchises. Chili's is part of Brinker Intl., which is world's second largest casual dining restaurant operator, the first being Darden restaurants. This allows them to offer affordable prices, because they can negotiate product rates for all of their stores, unlike a smaller company. They have also expanded their company to include Chili's Too, Small Town Chili's, and offer catering services. They update their menu one to two times a year, unlike Ruby Tuesday's which updates their menu every three to four months. Chili's has a popular menu that keeps people coming back, so they tweak it a bit to keep up with trends, but keep their core items. At this time they serve the same menu in every store, which allows for consistency throughout the company. They have a very broad market with a recognizable brand name and they focus on customer satisfaction. The restaurant business can be very competitive, but they have unusually high management retention and that may be in part to extremely competitive starting salaries and excellent benefit packages. Their competitor, Ruby Tuesday, has franchised many of its stores, creating varied salaries, salary caps, and benefits, when going from a franchise to a corporate store, which can make it difficult to retain managers. When Chili's is looking for hourly employees, it offers several opportunities to them. They can apply and interview online, receive benefits and have the opportunity to grow with the company. Their hourly employee turnover rate is also lower...
Read moreso for starters it was friday i believe around 12pm i was with my mom and friend we got our seats immediately so that was great! there was hardly any people there but apparently our server took so long to just take our drink orders he was a tall male with curly hair i believe hazel eyes but he brought our drinks and took our order i ordered a ribeye with fries i also asked for buffalo sauce my mom did as well with mashed potatoes and broccoli and my friend a cheeseburger with fried, it took like 15 ish minutes when the food arrived and my buffalo sauce wasn’t there but everything was good but i wanted my buffalo sauce 😔anyways so throughout the time we were eating more guests arrived and sat near us and the same server helped them out but he barely even acknowledged us he didn’t check up on us i was gonna ask for my buffalo sauce when he came back and he never did and we needed napkins and we still waited to ask cuz he was even checking up on us, he was helping out the other customers more then us and we were originally there first and i don’t mind that he’s helping the other people like i understand but he didn’t check up on us at all he gave us attitude when we were ordering our food and finally as he was walking by to give the other guest napkins and utensils we asked him may we have some napkins and he had a whole stack of them in his hand and he went through it and gave us 3 for 3 of us and i mean at first i was like okay 3 for each of us but we obviously need more just in case cuz normally they give us a stack of it but he didn’t care he just kept give the others good service then us. well we finished and my friend wanted to take her food to go and he came back and we asked may we have a box and he left and he said yeah but before that he all of a sudden started saying have a good day this and that when servers say at the end of the meal and i’m sorry to assume but he probably knew he was giving us bad service and wanted us to still tip. we still stayed waiting and waiting for the box almost like 15 minutes waiting for a box but never came so my friend just wrapped it up in her napkin the only one she was given so we paid and didn’t leave a tip, we always leave tip whenever we go here but this guy didn’t gives us good service or even acknowledged us but who knows if he was having a bad day or he was just being himself idk but we didn’t really enjoy our...
