If I could give this place zero stars I sure would! So I had a mobile order for drive thru pick up... one cheeseburger. There were two cars in front of me so no big deal on the wait. However, now the wait is getting ridiculous... when I pull up to get my ONE SIMPLE CHEESEBURGER mind you, they then asked me to pull through and to park in a parking stall to wait for my food....?? UHM WHAT!!!? ISN'T THE WHOLE POINT OF ME PLACING A MOBILE ORDER SO THAT IT IS READY FOR PICK UP WHEN I GET THERE? Okay so that's my first issue... my mobile order, not ready. Second problem, going through the drive thru and ORDERING through the drive thru in app, yet being asked to wait for curbside pick up... after already waiting in the drive thru line forever... for AAAAAA cheeseburger. LOL. Okay, whatever, yet again. Now curb side, it's been seven minutes and I'm officially over the whole ordeal because WHAT IS GOING ON?!!!! I'm about to forget about this cheeseburger but decide to go in at this point and there's just a slew of bags lined up "waiting to be ran out" ... LMAOOOO WHAT?!?!?!?!?!!?! WHY NOT GIVE IT TO US AS WE GO THROUGH THE DRIVE THRU?!?!! I am so shocked. Even better, there's another employee who'd just gotten off work I'm assuming, standing close to me and she saw me take the photo of the lousy manager just twirling his thumbs on his phone and she kind of laughed so when I asked why they are pushing the drive thru to parking stalls to just wait and wait on food runners that literally aren't available, the employee getting off work basically told me that the "manager likes to keep drive thru times down to keep corporate happy, so they push cars through the drive thru and into curbside to "appease corporate""..... I GASPED...WHAT!!!! CORPORATE NEEDS TO INTERVIENE ASAP; THIS IS NONSENSE!!!! THEN, I notice a girl waiting too so I asked if she's waiting for food and she replied that she was waiting for an interview. EXCUSE ME WHAT?! YOU HAVE SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO WORK!!! WAITING FOR AN INTERVIEW WITH A LOUSY EXCUSE OF A MANAGER WHO'S TOO BUSY PICKING HIS ASS AND SCROLLING SOCIAL MEDIA?!?!?!.... like whyyy would anyone want to work there?! Please excuse the language but it was the most absurd "fast" food experience of my entire existence. +Lots of food bags literally just sitting there? Getting cold?? LOL. You drive through the drive thru, so they can push you to a parking stall to wait... so your food can sit on the counter to get cold. COOL! So then I had to go BACK INSIDE and ask for a fresh cheeseburger that's actually hot to which the employee snarled and said "it clearly is fresh there's a wait" and I explained the wait is because they push cars, but don't have bodies to run the food and take the orders anddd make the food... so to further prove my point, I grabbed the burger out of the bag and asked her to touch it, because it was in fact, not at all warm... to which she rolled her eyes and finally got me another one. As I waited, I ended up chatting with a gentleman next to me whom said that this is a normal thing for this location to which my response was... why does anyone ever come back??? I'd go to any other location but this one and if I could give this place negative stars, I would. Corporate should come in, fire everyone and start fresh... sorry for the tough...
Read moreI don't like to complain about fast food workers because I can understand the work and stress they go through, but at this point it is ridiculous. I have been here in Tempe for about 6 months now, and I have occasionally (I'd say 10 or less times) gone to this Mcdonalds in that time. Every single time, something has been messed up. No sauce when asked, wrong sizes, wrong drinks, missing items, constantly. Every time I bring it up, I am dismissively given the items missing without another word. This most recent occurrence that has caused me to write this review was today. I went through the drive-in, and there was maybe 3 cars total at the time, so not busy. As I ordered my meal, the lady taking it was talking so fast and cutting me off after every order item with a quick and annoyed "what else?", and then at the pay window I was asked what my meal was as if they had completely lost track of my order. Then AGAIN at the food window they asked what my meal was. I began telling them again what it was, and before I even finished explaining my meal, they closed the window on me mid-sentence. A few seconds later, they open the window again and hand me a bag without a word. I check and of course, its missing stuff. But not just fries or something, they are missing over half the order. I go inside and it turns out they didn't even listen to me, and gave me someone ELSES order. Even after going in with this issue, they still gave me the wrong size fries on top of it. Everyone who works there looks bored and annoyed, and god forbid you tell them that they messed up, because then they are just going to glare at you silently while fixing it. I kept coming back occasionally thinking that maybe it was just a bad day, and giving them the benefit of the doubt, but like I said, it has been roughly ten visits and 100% of them turn out like this. Everyone from the cashiers to the managers have this same issue and demeanor. The franchising office responsible for this location should really consider reevaluating the staffing at...
Read moreI visited this McDonald’s because I heard about the McDonaldland meal and really wanted to try it. Growing up I loved the McDonald’s characters and I’m sad that the company doesn’t use the characters anymore so when I saw the characters were being advertised for the meal I knew I had to get it. I was flabbergasted that it was almost 20 bucks for the meal since it was pretty much just a quarter pounder meal with a shake but I figured the price was to cover the collectible tin it came with.
I got the meal and when I opened the bag I was extremely disappointed to see that the collectible tin wasn’t in there. The main reason I spent $18 on this meal wasn’t there. I brought this to the attention of one of the McDonald’s employees that was bringing drive thru orders out in the parking lot and she couldn’t have been kinder. She was very apologetic and went back to get me the collectible tin. Not only that but she also gave me a cookie for the inconvenience and brought it in a McDonaldland bag which I didn’t know existed since my meal came in a plain McDonalds bag.
I honestly would have given this place 2 stars if it wasn’t for her. I feel bad that I didn’t catch her name but she was bringing out the drive thru orders around 5:40pm today and had really nice lashes. So if any managers are reading this, give the queen with the nice lashes that was literally busting her back carrying the whole establishment a raise.
As for the food, it was decent. The shake was good, it tasted like a blue razzberry slushy surprisingly. The quarter pounder and fries are what you would expect from a McDonalds. The cookie was probably my favorite part though.
The collectible tin was worth the hype in my opinion. I got the one with the iconic zaddy Mayor McCheese and I love it. It was a nice surprise that the tin had really cute stickers and postcards inside it. If you’re a fan of the OG McDonald’s characters then I think you’d like this collectible. Is it worth the $18 though? Probably not but I...
