I’ve ordered from WaBa Grill thrice. The first time was in store. Beautiful tiny little shop just over the river. The service and the food….. Atrocious. The first time I went, the employees had a disposition of hating to work there. I told them that it was my first time ordering and they were extremely apathetic and didn’t bother to explain the differences of each size bowl, nor did they have very much knowledge of the actual food (they didn’t even know what vegetables were in their mixed vegetables, which should have been my cue to leave since there are only three). They lazily handed me my bowl and I drove home to try it. Sad, flavorless, and disproportionate. Then I ordered it through Uber the second & third time. Same disgusting and bland food. Now the third time… I had such a horrible experience with the service trying to cancel my order, I was violently tempted to drive there under the influence, but ultimately did not. My Uber Eats driver let me know that the order will be canceled because they didn’t have steak. Fine, whatever, no big deal. No cancellation came. I call the restaurant to ask why the order wasn’t canceled & the most obnoxious, arrogant male employee essentially yelled at me for not canceling my order because he “just clocked in” and the steak had somehow magically appeared within ten minutes. He was degrading, talked over me and told me that he “knows I’m hungry” and “upset” (little did he know it wasn’t even for me). He refused to hear anything I had to say and kept telling me to cancel my order via UE, when he refused to hear that I was saying that I would charged full price if the actual store itself didn’t cancel my order. He said he’ll get his manager to do it and hung up. The manager didn’t cancel the order. I call back immediately, and it’s the employee who told my Uber Eats driver that there was no steak and I was on hold with him as he “got his manager to cancel my order,” which again, did not happen. I had to tell three Uber drivers not to pick up my order or waste their time because the restaurant was in the wrong in the first place. I don’t know what kind of arrogant, pompous, haughty yet apathetic people work at this poor excuse for a restaurant, but spend your money and time elsewhere. It’s not healthy, nor delicious.
TLDR; no one at this restaurant cares about anything and the food is BEYOND bland...
Read moreMy recent experience at WaBa Grill was less than satisfactory. I had placed a pick-up order, and upon my arrival, I found myself standing at the front counter for a noticeable amount of time with no staff in sight. This initial lack of attention was disappointing.
To make matters worse, while I was waiting for someone to assist me, another customer entered the store, and the employee promptly attended to them before acknowledging my presence. It was frustrating to see my order sitting off to the side, ready and waiting, while I continued to go unnoticed.
I had hoped to order a drink to accompany my meal, but the staff's lack of acknowledgment left me feeling overlooked and unimportant. Customer service is a crucial aspect of any dining experience, and this particular visit fell short in that department.
As for my pickup order, I ordered their Chicken & Steak Veggie Bowl. I have to say, I was quite disappointed with the overall experience.
The main issue I encountered was with the vegetables in the bowl. They were undercooked and had a raw taste, which was not at all appetizing. The texture and flavor of the veggies left much to be desired.
Furthermore, the steak in the bowl was overcooked and had a burnt taste, which was not pleasant. It seemed like it had been on the grill for too long.
The rice in the bowl was another letdown as it tasted dry and old, lacking the freshness that one would expect from a restaurant like WaBa Grill.
The only saving grace in this meal was the chicken. It was decent, but nothing exceptional that would make me want to come back for more.
Overall, my experience at WaBa Grill was not up to the standards I had hoped for. I was expecting a flavorful and well-prepared meal, but unfortunately, the undercooked vegetables, overcooked steak, and dry rice left much to be desired. Read moreYesterday 12/18/2024 at 11:15ish I went to this waba grill. The cashier girl named KENIA was the most rude and ignorant girl I have ever came across. She was literally wearing an AirPod while taking my order and obviously couldn’t hear what I was ordering. I specifically asked for a steak bowl and she gave me a chicken and steak bowl. I didn’t realize she had messed up my order until I got in my car. As soon as I noticed I went back and told her that wasn’t what I wanted and she gave me the worst attitude. She swung her arm at the menu and basically told me I didn’t know how to order. She then proceeded to “fix” my bowl without gloves which made me disgusted. I immediately told her I no longer wanted the bowl and to refund me my money. She had the nerve to ask why as if she hadn’t gave me the worst attitude and had blamed me for ordering wrong when she couldn’t even hear me cause SHE WAS WEARING AN AIRPOD! I’ve seen other reviews on this girl, I don’t know why she’s still employed here. Also the cook was wearing gloves but simultaneously was using his phone without exchanging gloves.
