Cute little ice cream shop with friendly employees.
Lots of fun flavors to choose from, so there's bound to be something for everyone. And you can taste test as needed.
We had a group of 5 (3 adults, 2 kids). We all got single scoops, kids got cones, and 2 adults got a topping. It was a little over $20 before tip.
The employees working were super friendly and patient.
The only downside is the parking. You can find a little spot on the street and walk about a block. Not sure about parking garage options as we didn't need it.
There are a couple stools and a counter to sit and eat at inside, or tons of little benches outside. It was a nice night, so we sat outside.
Here's the flavors we got: the one with brownie topped with a marshmallow mint chocolate chip topped with brownie bites salted caramel swirl meyer lemon cone strawberry cone
Everyone walked away happy!
UPDATE: visited 5-8-23 and it was just as awesome as the previous time!
This time we parked in the free public parking garage in the building across the street. Easy in & out. Elevator lets you out right across the street. From there, it's a straight shot to the ice cream shop.
The employee working was insanely friendly! One of the reasons this place is so great! Awesome people, fun flavors, delicious ice cream! 🍦 😋
This visit was 2 adults, 2 kids. Flavors tried: horchata, Mayan Chocolate, Banana Toffee Pudding. Kids tried the Blue Moon.
Flavors we got: Adults: Banana Toffee Pudding, Chocolate Fudge something. Kids: Strawberry in a cone, vanilla
3 single cups and a sugar cone cost $17ish before tip.
And for the brave ones out there, they currently have the DILL PICKLE flavor. I wasn't brave enough to try it but now kind of wishing I had. 🥺
We'll...
Read moreA friend called me up and asked if I wanted to go to Sweet Republic with her in Tempe. We went there at night, their parking situation onsite is a bit lacking but there is free parking nearby that isn't too difficult to get to. When we went the other night, there was a Honda car meet/photographers taking pictures in the MIDDLE OF THE PARKING LOT blocking everyone else from access. That was a bit annoying, but that's not on Sweet Republic.
We parked, walked in, it's a very small hole in the wall ice cream shop. It's very modern, clean, great aesthetic, very well lit, very nice area, a single bathroom that says "Gender Neutral" on it and everything was very well maintained. The employee(s) were very nice, professional, and prepared our treats to perfection, we had a small conversation about sweets, and we ate outside for a few minutes before hopping in the car because it was cold. There was no seating inside, and directly outside of the business there was one small metal table with two small metal chairs. There is however tons of metal/concrete seating available in the area. I ordered the Salted Caramel shake with light whip cream ($8-$9) and it was fantastic. I would order it again in a heartbeat.
EDIT: They had unusual flavors of ice cream, while their prices are not cheap, the quality was on point. Like they had eggnog ice cream for instance, thought that was kind of weird. They have unique flavors that you probably won't stumble across elsewhere at a normal ice cream shop.
The area was very nice, very modern, hip with the times you could say. Would get ice cream here any day....
Read moreTonight my little brother and his girlfriend came to visit me I was really excited to bring them here.. we walked from the other side of the lake. the lady serving us behind the counter gave us a terrible impression as soon as we walked in. My brother proceeded to order and she threw her rag in the bucket and rolled her eyes as she started to make our ice cream. I obviously felt uncomfortable and started to wonder what we were doing wrong so I googled the hours and it was 10 mins till close .. I asked her what time they close, she said 11. I said okay, can you please stop being rude to my brother if he isn't doing anything wrong? I was so upset with her demeanor I had to walk out.. my brother shortly followed me and said she refused him service. I went back and asked for water at least since we walked all this way ? She agreed and let me know she was the manager and there was nothing left she could do for us. I work in the food service industry as a manager and this is absolutely EMBARRASSING. I can't believe it was the worst experience I've had in...
