Applebees all you can eat menu?!? It’s more like all you can wait! First when we walked in we stood there waited for someone to greet us, servers and bartender made eye contact but didn’t say a word, keep in mind there were only two tables party of 4, 4 waiter, 1 bartender and 1 manger in the restaurant that we have seen while looking around.10 minutes goes by and finally a server greets us and seated four of us. She took our order and came back with water then we waited 30 minutes to get our entrees but she had forgotten our sauce for the chicken tender that my lady requested and our appetizer. Another 20 minutes goes by and I’m already finish with my first plate of “all you can eat” I was ready to order more. Finally she comes by without the sauce and the appetizer to see how we are doing. We reminded her again and placed my second order for my “all you can eat”. 25 minutes later she finally comes back with the sauce that we had order about a hour ago and the appetizer and try to blame the kitchen but how can you blame the kitchen when all you need to do is poor in the sauce that she requested for her entrees in to a little plastic cup and serve. They forgot the marinara sauce for the chz sticks so we had to ask for that as well assuming it’ll be faster because of the first incident, sure enough we were wrong we waited another 20 minutes for that sauce. Waited another 25 minutes for my next plate of all you can eat. After all this I really wanted to see a manager but I take a look around for supervision but we had seen her on her phone for 10 minutes, so why tell the manager anything if she is too busy on her phone. Then I had enough we wanted to get the bill and leave because I’ve waited so long and yes I was still hungry and I was so happy that this would all be over soon but surprise we waited another 20 minutes to get the bill. The only thing fast about the service I got was when they were bringing back my debit card. That’s not the only thing the fried food we got tasted like the oil was going bad. The deep fried shrimp and chicken boneless wings felt as if I was chewing on rocks. The fries were cold and soggy. The environment was not friendly and the biggest thing is that I had a floor fan blowing at our table drying out my eyes. I have had worse service before but unlike those time I was full when I left. I total we spent a little over 2 hours and 30 minutes. We could’ve went to a buffet and served ourself and be 20 times more satisfied. This wasn’t the only time I was very disappointed in this location of apple bees there were many more. I was very nice to give them the benefit of the doubt the first couple times but every time I did I was highly disappointed. Sorry not sorry but this is the last time I will take the disappointmentS with apple bees. Very sorry for all the other Applebees for having this temple Applebees ruin my visits to all the other Applebees and if for all of the futur customers that visits with them I wish you the best of luck P.s thank you for wasting my time and ruining my night...
Read moreMy wife and I moved the week before Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day we were still not un-packed and set up for Thanksgiving Dinner so we decided to go to the local Applebee's here in Temple, Texas. There were myself, my wife, her son and her brother in this group. I decided that since it was Thanksgiving Day that I would order the Holiday Plate that was advertised as coming with Turkey gravy. When my plate arrived there was at best a drizzle of gravy. I asked our awesome waitress Barbara if I could get some more gravy and she gladly went to get some more. In a few minutes she came back and said that they weren't giving any extra gravy that day and that I couldn't even purchase anymore. She was very apologetic but said that she understood that there wasn't enough gravy on the plate and she would ask a manager if he could help. Another few minutes and the assistant manager Dave came literally stomping over to the table and in a curly tone asks " What do you want? " I asked who he was and he then says " Your waitress says you want to talk to a manager so what do you want? " I explained that I'd like some more gravy because there was only a very small amount of gravy on my plate. His response was something like this " We only have so much gravy for the day and just enough for our planned plates." I said that the problem was that there was hardly any on the plate to begin with....this is where Dave got REALLY OUT OF LINE and his attitude got really surly. " We only put 2 ounces of gravy on each plate so there's enough gravy for everyone, I'm going to get you some more gravy but giving you more means that someone else is going without" At that point I started getting angry and said "Sir, you don't have to be that way...why don't you just keep your damned gravy!" Other customers were watching by nowso he said "No..I'm bringing your gravy" then sent out a waitress with a small portion of gravy. No apology for his attitude from him but our waitress Barbara apologized for his actions several times. When the manager Mindy came in Barbara sent her over to our table. Mindy blamed the whole thing on corporate policy concerning gravy portions and no matter how many times we explained that the issue wasn't that they were running out of gravy..its a holiday and stuff like that happens sometimes...the issue was with Dave's horrible attitude. Mindy apologized several times about the gravy portions and no matter what we said she never got the point that our issue was about substandard service and crappy attitude. The customer service in this store is horrible on the management end but great as far as...
Read moreAs always, the food and service were excellent. The waitress was very kind and had our orders out to us before we could finish our first round of drinks. While we were eating, there was a very young couple in the booth behind us talking. We couldn't help but overhear their conversation. We turned around to congratulate them on getting their first apartment together in Temple, TX, and they were so excited to be getting out of Killeen, TX. We shared some of our experiences in Killeen, TX, with them. I told them that I was born at Darnell Army Hospital in Fort Hood and have lived here for 47 years. I told them that moving away from Killeen was the best thing they could do to start off their relationship and have a chance to have a nice home without having to worry so much about theft, shootings, dope fiends, drug dealers, etc. threatening their happy home and relationship together. We could tell that they were good, honest kids, and even though they didn't have much, they loved each other, and that was enough for them. They both worked and had been saving their money each check to first get their apartment and then furniture and household goods. They were so excited that they were finally able to buy their own toaster and were proud of it. It was the only thing besides a microwave that they had to put on the kitchen counter. By the time we got done eating, my fiance and I looked at each other. He asked me if we should do something for them and I said "Of course, They deserve it." So we paid our bill, tipped our waitress and paused at their table on the way out. My fiance then hands them a $100 bill. They looked at us confused, and we told them that we thought that they could use a little help and kindness. Everybody deserves a break sometimes and we have been where they are before and they need to know that there are still people out there that care and willing to help as long as they do right, make an honest living, and just be kind to people. They thought we were messing with them and asked what the money was for. We said to buy whatever else was next on the list of things they needed to buy to make their place a home as our gift to them. Good things come to good people, and they were good people. Their families raised them right, and we wanted to help since we were able, but one day, they should pay it forward. They were so happy and thankful and almost started to cry. We told them to have a great day, and they said you just made our month or even year! I hope they bought something nice and think of us each time...
