Denny's — Restaurant in Terre Haute

My husband, our friend and I went in to eat tonight. We got our drink order taken pretty quickly then the server left to do whatever. She passed our table a few times and never once asked us if we were ready to order. So a friend of ours is a server there and i told her i was ready so she yelled the server's name which made her come over. Then i ordered the app and she went to get it. Then she came back with it and i asked for extra sour cream, like shania told her and asked for another water for our friend so she went and did that. Then i told her we were ready to order and she didnt even have her book. So she went to get it. We ordered my reg meatloaf. And he got the crazy skillet and so did daniel. When the food came out daniel had a full skillet and my husband only had about 3 pieces of potato and some chicken. It was over 1/2 less than what daniel had so i asked why that is and she said i dont know with an attitude and went and yelled at the cook "she wants to know why the skillets are different. " Then she never came back. So i went to find the manager and i told her we needed a new skillet so she said ok i will remake it. So eventually the skillet was done but before it got done i had to ask for refills, and he asked for more tortillas and they never got put in so we finally got tired of waiting and went to go pay. I told the manager that the server never even checked on us for refills or anything and she got an attitude and said she would have. I told her the only reason why we got food is because of shania. And she didnt even apologize. So tomorrow i am calling the gm and telling him all about it. And i am telling him i will only eat there if shania is working. And if it is a different manager. Okay, so i'm gonna start off with one star only because I had to star something. Today is Thanksgiving, and this dennys gave me absolutely nothing to be thankful for. This is the worst service, the worst clean and the worst food and I will give you some pictures. My experience started off being allowed to sit where I wanted. I sat at the only booth table open. I looked at the table and it was dirty. Thinking that maybe it had been busy I asked them to please wipe it down. I was there for several minutes, I had ordered, gotten my glass of ice, but still no one came to wipe the table down. I still sat several more minutes. Finally, I got up to use the restroom and came back to my table. It's still disgusting, so I asked them "please. Can I have a RAG to wipe the table down myself?" And she brought me a wipe. So, I knew the table was dirty with what I could see, but the cloth that she gave me ended up being black, which means that it had not been properly wiped down in a really, really long time. Next, my plate is finally brought, and I have a few chunks of Turkey, a little dollop of dressing, cranberry sauce was maybe a teaspoon in the smallest portion cup. One small scoop of potatoes with no gravy. With a grand total price tag of $16.29, not including tip or tax. I would be so embarrassed to work at this dennys. I would be more embarrassed to be the manager, Whom I did speak to, and he said he would remake it, but that's how the cranberries come, is, what he said. I said no, thank you. I do not want this meal and I do not want to eat here and yes I did leave.. I am single and I travel for work extensively. So I eat at Denny's on holidays. On more than one occasion, I have never ever ever seen a meal from denny's...

We came here and, even though there were 2 waitresses talking behind the counter, waited for a good 5 minutes or so for either to come over. She seated us and gave us menus then walked away. We waited 10 minutes and started considering leaving because she was completely ignoring our table. We gave her another 5 minutes and finally she came. She took our drink order and we started to order our food turn she walked away. She took a while to bring our drinks and we were finally able to order. The food came pretty quick but we clearly needed refills and she didn't bring ant. She didn't come back to check on us either. Another waitress came by to give us our check which was all together (if they had asked they would have known we were separate). We had to tell her that it was separate. She took about 10 minutes to redo it. When she came back we asked if she could have our waitress get us refills since we had not got any refill the whole time. She said our waitress had left and that she was now our waitress (gee, thanks for telling us, waitress...). So we said that was fine and asked if she could get us the refills. We watched her walk around and help other tables. She never brought our refills. We just went up and paid. I will say the shift manager who rang us out was all smiles and nice. The waitresses need to learn how to do their jobs. Sorry, but I will not be returning. I can go plenty of other places where I can spend 12 dollars and get WAY...
