Wow! I thought I would give them another chance. Big mistake!!! It's gone from bad to way worse! This place is like a circus! While we were waiting on our drinks someone with his hat on backwards comes out of the kitchen and starts yelling at the top of his lungs "these people are ridiculous". He went on further repeating "absolutely ridiculous". He glances at us giving us an evil look. He continued to stare us down throughout our time there. So much I decided to start recording. This started over the table wanting their order to be as pictured on the menu. Not an unreasonable request. But it came out completely different. They sent it back. It was replaced by something cold. I don't find those complaints ridiculous at all. The manager never came until the customers were leaving. I assumed there was no manager by the way the place is run. He didn't apologize to them. They worked something out and the customers left very angry. The manager walks by our table back to his hiding hole and not even looking at us, no apology for the scene. Nothing. Unbelievably unprofessional. It's no wonder this place is a horrible circus. The food was nasty, no surprise with the way everything else is run. And you know chili's corporate never even contacted bout my first review that I am adding this to now. I shouldn't feel the need to be prepared to defend my family from chili's staff. But I had my steak knife ready. Needless to say they ruined our dinner. Now I still have two $10 certificates left and we have no desire to ever go to a chili's again. Clearly no management even from corporate. It's just a free for all three. So whatever they want. Customers are a nuisance to their playing around. They are going to wind up killing someone. And I guess that will be a big joke for them all to laugh about. After the waitress saw O was recording she began to apologize. But she didn't notice all our glasses were empty and wouldn't remove any of the plates we were finished with. Oh and my wife has to go get me a fork for my salad. Seriously what am I ripping for??? And the table was sticky and nasty. The varnish was coming off and well it was just gross. We had to use the napkins to cover the table. Gross place all the way around.
My original review:
Can't even have real silverware anymore? Plastic utensils like it's KFC. And not even any tops for the presidente margarita shaker? Not enough employees. What's there are just playing or acting like they are cleaning. I will not return to any chili's after this. I've been a patron for over 35 years. Enough is enough. Chili's is a...
Read moreI arrived at Chili"s during my lunch break around 11:23 am on Oct. 28th, I had a taste for a mushroom burger & southwestern egg rolls. Once i arrived the male bartender (Black) gave me 2 menus, as he was watching the Football game on TV, one had specials on it & the other was a regular menu. The bartender asked if he could get me a Marguerite to drink, i informed him that i was on my lunch break as i stated my order.Around 11:30 am , he came out from the kitchen with the egg rolls on a plate, i informed him, the order was to go, he stated i should have told him, i stated, i did, but you were watching the TV, he took the plate back to the kitchen. Around 11:40 i ask him how much longer is the wait, he stated, "i don't know, its when they tell me". I began to look around for a Manager as i watch the time.11:44, the bartender came back up front from the kitchen, he sat a white bag .on the side of the register, i knew it was the egg roll order, he notice the look of urgency on my face, then he stated," we're waiting on the Fries. Around 11:46, he brought the remainder order from the kitchen, grabbed the bag from the side of the register and sat the bag on the front counter as he put the remaining order inside, I immediately asked him to allow me to see my order. He sat the bag in from of me, turned toward the register to ring up the order ,he laid the ticket on the counter, i notice the egg roll order was $8.89 on the receipt but $6.00 on the special menu, i asked him"why the price on the menu is different from the receipt, he stated, the $6.00 price was for dine-in only. I asked to speak to a Manager, by this time it was 11:50, the Manager came shortly after, I informed him of the bartender watching TV instead of listening, and i was rushing to return back to work on time. The bartender sat the special menu on the counter for the Manager to see. The Manager looked at the special menu, and stated that the special menu was for dine-in only. I was insulted and left Chili's hungry. I felt the Manager should have given me the egg rolls for $6.00 due to the fact that the bartender should have informed me of this,. i received poor customer service .from the bartender..Chili's is one of my favorite restaurant, but do to how i was treated, i will never return back to this one in Texarkana,...
Read moreMy years of teaching people skills to know and accomplish work-related tasks. There job. Texarkana, TX We were seated promptly upon entering but had to wait for a few for our waiter to show up for us to order drinks. After introducing himself, he promptly told us this is his 3rd shift since being hired. A new employee. And he looked nervous and kind of skittish. I think he was hoping that we would understand and take pity on him. We ordered our drinks and off he went. When he came back, I took over the ordering and trained him as needed about what we were ordering, where it was and on what page, and pointed to the item I wanted, and read aloud what it said about the food I wanted to order. And repeated the same to him about my friend's order. Now he knew what we are eating, what comes in it and with it, and the price. Off he went to place our orders. We didn't see him again for 7or 8 minutes. He shows up to check on us and off he went again. After id say 15 or so more minutes, he showed up with our food. Our orders are correct. No problems. I told time good job and off he went again. He came by 1 more time during to see if we needed anything, I said a to go box and the check. He promptly fulfilled that request and removed dishes while we finished up and paid the bill. I gave him a 20% tip because he listened well, wrote everything down correctly, and served us delicious food. I was patient with him because I too have had jobs where I was in thrown into the pit right after my employment began. And had to learn basically on the fly and quickly. And it was a cold, raining, windy drizzle outside. I had finished Christmas shopping for the day and really didn't have anything to do later. So the time it took from entry to exit was about 1 and a half. As we left we passed people waiting to be seated, I had hoped that he took what I taught him and put it into good use and get good tips. Long lunch but very good food and he was nice and willing learn once I told him I had trained new employees in the food service business. Good job Chili's...
