When I go to Tim Horton I’m not expecting the best service or to be treated like a king. It seems that Time Hortons values treating customers like trash, and demeaning them at every opportunity (with a little racial profiling as dessert).
When ordering a standard coffee and a couple of coffee beans I was met with a rude manager that loved to pepper in snide comments into our little interaction. I figured she might be having a bad day and would have left it at that, if I hadn’t noticed how she treated the next set of customers. While I was waiting for my order, I was astounded by the level of contempt she seemed to have for the customer behind me. The customer was trying to order a simple breakfast combo set, and she basically tried to make him out to be an idiot and correcting him in the rudest way possible making it clear that she viewed him to something akin to a worm. The customer and I were exchanging glances the whole time as we say this interaction occur.
By now I was invested and wanted to see if this hate train would continue. So when the next customer came in, I was ready to see how the manager would crash out next with popcorn in hand (or at least I wish I had). Imagine my and customer #1’s surprise when the manager was suddenly very cordial and magically discovered the ability to say “Thank you” and “Please,” which were completely absent in customer #1 and my interactions with her. It was at this moment that customer #1 and I reached an understanding. Customer #1 and I happened to both be Asian, while customer #2 was white. The manager had been kind enough to give use a cop of racist attitude with our coffees, and I’m thankful that Tim Hortons was able to give us this gracious experience in the year of our lord 2025.
Tl;dr if you’re Asian and wanted to be treated like dirt by the manager, then make sure to come on Saturday morning. Otherwise if you’re any other race, enjoy a cup of...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this Tim Hortons location regularly for the past two weeks, and I’ve always appreciated the friendly service especially from the short lady with the glasses who is consistently kind and welcoming in the morning shift .However, today I had a disappointing experience. The employee working the front, wearing a hijab, was very rushed with my order even though there were no customers in line and no one in the drive thru. I ordered a hash brown and a sausage biscuit, but before I could finish my order, she had already printed the receipt. I then asked for a MEDIUM strawberry coconut refresher something I’ve ordered many times at this location and is both on the website and advertised in store. When I received my order, I was only given the sausage biscuit (no hash brown), and the drink I received was not what I asked for. I told here there was no hasbrown in the bag, she told me I didn’t order a hash brown and that they don’t sell the strawberry coconut drink, which is confusing since I’ve had it from this very location multiple times. She walked away while I was talking and came back saying she had to charge me extra . I normally don’t leave negative feedback, but being told I ordered something I didn’t, and then trying to charge again for something I clearly asked for , felt extremely unfair :/ when she brought the correct drink size large and it had clumps (again it has neverrrrr happened before) ( The pictures below show that they do in fact sell strawberry coconut refreshers ) AND the same drink I’ve ordered plenty of other times at this exact same location one without clumps and the one I received today from her...
Read morewas genuinely excited when this Tim Hortons opened less than 3 minutes from my home. At first, I was a regular customer, but over time the quality and service have declined to the point that I can no longer justify coming back.
On one visit, the bacon in my sandwich was served nearly raw. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice until I got home, so I had no choice but to remove it. On a later visit, I politely asked if my bacon could be made crispy and was told, “we don’t do that.” Instead, I ordered just an egg and cheese sandwich — but the cheese was completely cold and unmelted. I had to heat it myself at home. That experience, combined with the refusal to accommodate a basic request, caused me to stop visiting for several months.
This morning, I decided to give this location another chance, hoping things had improved. While my sandwich was fine, my drink was absolutely unacceptable. I ordered a caramel iced capp with hazelnut syrup and almond milk. What I received was so poorly prepared that I couldn’t drink it — I took one sip and had to spit it out. The syrup was separated from the drink, the whipped cream was barely there, and it looked nothing like it should. I even posted a photo with my review to show how unappetizing it was. In the end, I had to throw it away and waste my money.
This was my last attempt at giving this location a chance. I’ve been disappointed multiple times, and unfortunately today was the confirmation I needed to stop coming back altogether. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously because no guest should have to pay for food or drinks they cannot...
