I went here on the recommendation of a friend for the pork Bánh Mì and I'm probably never going anywhere else for my pork sandwich fix ever again. It was perfect. The bread was perfectly toasted, the veggies were fresh and crunchy, the pork was tender, well seasoned, and the sauce was on point. Everything was so well balanced and proportioned I want another one right now thinking about it. The restaurant is small but clean and I'm sure the size suits their needs. Service was quiet and quick. It was $10 for the sandwich plus tip but absolutely worth it. I can't wait to try other items! I'll update this when I do but for now 5/5 and I'm sure it'll remain that way.
Edit/update I was right lol so far the review is remaining this way! I stopped in the other day to order a couple other items. I was so excited that it took me nearly 30m to decide what to try. Now, since I'm made of human pieces and not money, I limited myself to two items. The pork and egg roll vermicelli and the shrimp and garlic pho. I ordered over the phone for pick up and headed there. Service was the same as the other day, friendly and polite, and I didn't have to wait long at all. Heading home with my treasures in tow, I had the idea to get a side of pho broth from Dat Pho to compare and make sure I wasn't just fan girling over Bay Fusion due to how impressive that banh mi was. Well, the broth is no longer $2 for a side of it, it's now $7 so, in my mind, that already made it taste a little less good. So, I start heading home again, periodically wiping the drool from my steering wheel due to the heavenly aroma my food was filling my car with when I see the time. I've gotta pick up my kid from school. I need to sit in that dang line and... wait. It was torture. Days, weeks, months went by while I sat there. That's how good it smelled. I finally get home with my treasures and I guess my kid and I rip into my orders. The Bay Fusion pho has a better flavor and I don't know how it was possible but that broth was somehow still scalding hot. Confused but delighted, I devoured the whole bowl. (They supply the bowl! Dat Pho doesn't) Plenty of bean sprouts, an appropriate amount of basil, cilantro, jalapeno, lime, and generous portion of shrimp! These shrimp were BIG too! Oh, it was glorious. Some anxious hours later, I finally get to really try the vermicelli dish. It was perfect. The pork was thin but super tender and flavorful! Bay Fusion is knocking it out of the park with flavor, ingredient balance, and service! I will absolutely be trying more dishes...
Read moreMenu has options that don't exist, so we got our hopes up twice now. Wanted a good ramen place close to home but they don't offer it even with it on the menu. Service is lacking. Music volume level is loud then silent, make it hard to enjoy the environment. Service is slow never have I waited this long for soup. The music is getting louder now, why?
Food finally showed up, cold noodle stir fry and barley warm pho. The egg also looks just like beef, oh wait they got that wrong.
Shouldn't be this hard to get an egg brought out and if your going to server pho have the right spoon. I can't eat broth a teaspoon at a time.
Can't believe I am going to chance a to go order, let's see how it goes. Shouldn't be hard veggie broth, noodle and veggies on the side.
So I waited 30 min for the to go order to not be even put in. I can tell my server is trying hard but the other server is making it hard, I see now it's not completely his fault.
During my 2 hour visit I saw a couple come in, sit down, and after 20min ordered with the female server. After another 30 min I see the two servers arguing and then the male server goes over apologized and asks them what they ordered. Needless to say they just left.
Won't be trying this place again for a long while if ever. First visit was nothing special and the second was down right terrible. With some attention this could be a good place, but I wouldn't recommend...
Read moreJust had a very interesting service experience at this place. It was 5-ish and no other patrons were in the shop. There were 2 female servers in the front. the first one greeted me and I said I wish to place a to-go order, she then just disappeared without any instruction, like 'you can order at the register..'. The second person was behind the cash register and was super courteous, spoke both Vietnamese & English, no issues there. While waiting for my order, I saw ads on the window that offer coconut & coffee, so I proceeded to inquire whether they offer coconut coffee. My bad, I was not paying attention to whether it was the 1st or 2nd server, so I inquired in Vietnamese, the server literally "snapped" at me, 'can you speak English? I dont speak Vietnamese'. Me: 'of course, do you offer coconut coffee?' Server: 'no!' Me: 'what is your name?' Server: 'I don't understand'... Me: ??????repeated my question, thinking she might not have heard my question. Server: ' I don't want to tell you' Me (thinking to myself): restaurant business is a competitive one, where service can differentiate and give one a competitive edge..... not likely to return here even though I have yet to taste the...
