I recently had the misfortune of visiting the AMC movie theater, and I must say that it was one of the most horrendous experiences I've had at a cinema. From filthy seats to multiple interruptions during the movie, this trip was nothing short of a nightmare.
Let's start with the seating situation. As I settled into my seat, I immediately noticed how dirty and unkempt it was. The cushion was stained and worn, and there were crumbs and debris scattered all over the armrest. It was evident that no effort had been made to clean or maintain the seats properly. Sitting in such an unhygienic environment significantly dampened my movie-watching experience and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable throughout.
But the seat condition was just the tip of the iceberg. As the movie began, it was promptly interrupted not once, not twice, but three times. Each time, the screen went blank, leaving the audience in confusion and frustration. It was a blatant disregard for the viewers' enjoyment, and it completely ruined the immersion and flow of the film. It's hard to believe that a reputable theater like AMC would allow such technical glitches to occur repeatedly without any remedy.
Furthermore, the lack of response from the theater staff only added to the frustration. Despite numerous complaints from the audience, the theater employees seemed indifferent and uninterested in addressing the issue. Their lack of professionalism and failure to take swift action to rectify the situation showed a complete disregard for customer satisfaction.
The combination of the disgusting seats and the frequent disruptions left me deeply dissatisfied with my experience at AMC. A movie theater should be a place of escape and enjoyment, but this visit felt more like a test of patience and tolerance. It's disheartening to witness such a decline in quality and attention to detail from a theater chain that used to be known for its reliability.
I strongly advise moviegoers to exercise caution when considering AMC as their theater of choice. If you value cleanliness, uninterrupted viewing, and competent customer service, it would be wise to explore alternative options. The AMC theater I visited failed on all fronts, and I can't recommend it to anyone seeking an enjoyable cinematic experience. In addition to the filthy seats and constant interruptions during the movie, my experience at the AMC movie theater was further compounded by the complete lack of assistance when trying to purchase drinks. It was evident that the staff's primary focus was chatting amongst themselves rather than attending to the needs of the customers.
Upon entering the concession area, I was dismayed to find that there was no one readily available to take my order. The employees, who were huddled together in a corner engaged in their own conversation, seemed oblivious to the fact that customers were waiting for service. It was incredibly frustrating to witness such blatant neglect and lack of professionalism.
As I patiently waited for someone to notice my presence, precious minutes passed by. Finally, one of the staff members reluctantly approached the counter, showing no urgency or willingness to assist me. Their lackadaisical attitude and disinterested demeanor were quite off-putting. It was evident that providing quality customer service was not a priority for them.
In summary, my visit to the AMC movie theater was marred by unsanitary seats and frequent disruptions that overshadowed any enjoyment I could have derived from the film. It was a disappointing experience that left me feeling frustrated and...
Read moreIt was great going to the movies again! This AMC has always been my favorite. Close to my house, employees have always been nice and helpful. I was a little nervous though, we haven't been to a movie in the theater since last march. The nice young man scanned my tickets, I went to the concession stand to a get a cup for my drink (only cards are being accepted at this time) and was off to the theater. It is worth it to mention though I love the machines for drinks at this theater. I know they are not new, but everytime I see them I get excited because I can pick my own flavor for my drink. (AND IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR). There are so many choices offered and mixes that if I wanted sprite cherry vanilla, coke cherry lemon, or diet cherry vanilla (just to name a few, there are tons), it is available. There are other options besides soda also. There is a push button on the machine, but now you scan the QR code and you pick your drink from your phone and place your cup back under the machine and it pours it for you, just remember to push the button to stop it on your phone or your cup will slightly overflow like mine did. When we walked to the theater entrance we noticed there are sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer at the front of the theater entrance. * They are in front of every theater entrance.* We grabbed a wipe, sanitized our hands and went to our reserved seats. Let me just say that I love reclining seats in the movie theater. I will take sitting in a nice cushy seat that I lean back in, put my legs up over the hard small little seats from the past. The seat next to us was blocked. It seems that you pick the seats for your party and they block the one seat to the right or left of your party, depending on where you choose your seats, but there is space between you and other people. We sat down, watched a bunch of previews ,and then the movie finally began (it was great by the way). As we were walking out of the theater with our masks on, the smell of freshly made popcorn was in the air. It really made me think about all the times we would go to the movies before and how something so simple offered so much enjoyment. We haven't been able to do these little things that have all been a part of our lives for so long that it made this experience for me so much sweeter. I really don't write many reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised about how proactive AMC is being and how I personally felt about this theater. I just wanted to say thank you to AMC, for caring about your customers and for bringing some normalcy back...
Read moreThis is a great movie theater! The reclining seats are the most comfortable theater seats I've ever encountered! They are super cozy and very spacious, so you don't feel like the stranger beside you is invading your personal space. And being able to choose your seats in advance is a huge bonus! The soda fountain and Icee stations are self serve, which is nice. My husband and I will drive the few extra miles to this theater, even though there are several others that are much closer, because we've (okay, I've) been so spoiled by this place!
My only real complaint with this cinema is how small each individual theater is. On a positive note, this does allow for great seats throughout the room (with the exception of the first two rows). Also, because there is ample room for each seat, this also limits the amount of seats to choose from (so pros and cons, depending on your preferences). Because there are less seats to choose from, you generally need to purchase your tickets further in advance than usual, especially on Friday and Saturday nights and always during opening night for popular films. The biggest obstacle of all is finding several seats next to each other when you're with a large group. This makes it nearly impossible to make last minute plans to catch a show whenever you want to. But now that we know this, we always check ahead and buy our tickets online... Which is another plus - no waiting in line for tickets! And with the Stubs Premier membership, the online convenience fee is waived, plus we earn points for each purchase along with free upgrades and other bonuses!
Overall, I always enjoy watching movies at this theater! I recommend it highly and encourage you to experience this one-of-a-kind cinema for yourself!
Be sure to bring a throw blanket if you like to cuddle up while...
