Update: we went with the kiddos to get some energy out. I still have to agree that this is about 7 year old and up friendly. If not, (we'll name him Kyle, who's sporting a blue mohawk and probably hits his mom when she tells him to do something) will freight train over your kid without a quip. That, or another kid who's got zero manners or spacial awareness will run them over in the jungle gym area.....so let's talk about that. I wasn't looking for issues in there but a few things need to be made clear. It's painfully obvious that this thing hasn't been cleaned out or maintenanced/inspected in ...well ....forever. There is sticky yuck/wrappers/trash everywhere stuck between the foam mats, the netting...it's everywhere. You can't avoid the trash/wrappers/yuck. It's got huge holes in the netting. Some holes are on the second story and are a DIRECT opening for a kid to fall to the floor. It's got failed and worn out equipment. The bungee cords are broken, there's ripped and damaged cargo netting you stand on. The trolly rope/ball thing that is on the first floor is broken. It's missing bearings and wheels in the trolly system...and the carabineer is broken/unthreaded. Someone did some type of repairs on the very top (near the broken bungee cords and used regular zip ties)......a heathen who couldn't think criticality installed them, didn't use flush cutters and instead made jagged zip tie cut ends....facing TOWARDS the play area. Did they do this out of laziness, stupidity, lack of training, lack of correct child safe style zip ties or just didn't care? Who knows. There was a broken/not turned on rope light that was near the slides that was loose and was an easy choke point if a kid put their head through it and then sat on the slide. The zipper holding one of the "keep out" areas was broken or something, kids could access the areas that weren't meant to be gone in. The ball pit needs to be cleaned out. It's naaaaaaaaasty bad in there. You step on mystery "things"/broken balls/random items. The ball pit also has some pretty worn out/rough padding that has been bad for months and months. Overall, the laughable "we clean stuff" type postings at the front of the business clearly doesn't represent what goes on in day to day operation. Willful blindness seems to be the issue. Even my wife commented on the poor condition of the play area, and how it was not safe. It's worn out/put away wet and needs some repairs. Look, I get it. You've got a bunch of adolescent mongrels literally trying to destroy your equipment. But you also need to keep up with the equipment and facility. If you can't keep the play area up to snuff, I'm really concerned over your overhead obstacle course that has harnesses/ropes/trollies/etc. When's the last time that stuffs been inspected critically?
Old review- Fun time. It can be a little aggressive for toddlers and little guys, best suited...
Read moreFirst time here for a birthday party was not impressed by the associates working there who are supposed to be watching the kids in each area or even the ones supposed to be helping with the parties. I got there with my daughter, and I am a little lost because I didn't know where the party was exactly , nor did anyone I spoke to there. The first thing I noticed before finally someone asking of I needed help was that everyone working there is glued to their phone, and I didn't really care if they were supposed to be helping or not. The girl who was supposed to be helping my friend with her party took her sweet time, kind of helping, like giving the sock and writs bands out. Finally brought the pizza out for the kids but then ran off with it for another 10 minutes for no reason and even then she didn't even want to do that was trying to make parents do it when they already busy with the party and watching their kids. She hurries up and then immediately sits back down just to get back on her phone again. Then, when the 2 hour window for the party at the table was over, she rushed the whole party out and said we had to go. Oh, did I mention they were late setting everything up, too? Found out there was not another party after us so we could have all stayed there, but it was really because her shift was over, and she just wanted to leave and, of course, get back to that phone. The other workers who were supposed to be watching the play areas can you guess what they were doing, you guessed it on their phone. Like the jungle gym area, whatever it is called for up to 9yr old. Had so many older kids, like around 15 kids, were constantly going in there running over all the younger kids, going up the slides backwards, and more. Even when mentioned to an associate who was on the phone, looked up at you and said ok and goes back to their phone. Yeah, to say the least for my first time being there, I am not impressed one bit. Owner and management need to really get more qualified people to work there, not these lazy kids, because God forbid something serious happens on their clock, and they saw nothing because they are on their phone. I do give props to the gentlemen I saw who may have been the only ones doing their job, which...
Read moreI am giving a 1 star because this week I went to urban air, as I always do with my son who has a lot of energy and loves to jump, and this time my experience was unfortunate and very frustrating. My mother accompanied me and witnessed it all. A female worker whose shift is at 4pm on a Friday, black hair with glasses, lied and told me she was the manager and was not, (the manager is a young man named Carl,) She was very rude to me and said I could not pay and jump with my son because I wasn’t wearing a mask. I told her I had an exemption and that I had been there many times and was never declined service or discriminated against. She wouldn’t give me her name when I asked for it. Very poor customer service and to discriminate and refuse a family services to jump is absurd. No matter the policy, I am still a human being with rights and was treated horribly. My son being 3, did not understand what was going on and had a full on tantrum in the car because all he wanted was to jump and have fun. He began to cry and said “mommy why doesn’t that girl let us jump, why was she mean.” Being a mom it broke my heart! We are not sick and again, they check temperature which I was willing to allow, and told her I had an exemption for the mask, but still she rolled her eyes and asked if “I was finished talking.” I left frustrated and stressed because I was just refused services for something I was paying for, wanted no trouble, just wanted to be able to enjoy the day with my son. I am no criminal, I’m just a mom trying to do my best. Masks are not mandated in Texas they are just required and constitutionally one cannot force something on someone and declining services to them is wrong and not allowed. So I called corporate and spoke to Jose who was very kind to me, and said that they are not trained to treat customers the way the young woman treated me. I will be contacting consumer protection on this matter. And Unfortunately I will have no choice but to take legal action against Urban Air for the discrimination, poor customer service, frustration and stress they caused me...
