Potbelly — Restaurant in Texas

I came to get lunch during my break and went through the drive through with the intention to be quick and get back home. I don’t usually go to this location because it’s a bit of a drive from my house and I’m closer to the location in The Woodlands. I ordered a $7.99 combo and a cup of chilli and the issues started in the drive thru when the order taker almost charged me $18. After we got the price taken care of, I paid and continued home without checking, the bag felt heavy and since I’ve previously worked at potbelly years ago I felt it was an appropriate weight for the order. I drove all the way home and realized the order was missing a bag of chips. Yes I was extremely frustrated but when I called I didn’t curse or behave rudely when telling the male worker my order was missing a bag of chips. He laughed at me, didn’t apologize for the mistake and told me to come get a bag of chips. I arrived and asked for the workers name and they wouldn’t release it, fair. I used to work for Potbelly and usually it’s my favourite place to return for lunch. However, the Louetta location left a lot to be desired. I came in at around 1 o’clock behind maybe three other people and it took forever to get through the line. The employees look like they’re miserable and seem to have no initiative. Also, they need to speak up. With the music playing and the acoustics of the building, it’s hard enough to hear as it is without the employees speaking barely above a whisper. The restrooms could do with maintence as well. And then the food... while edible, it’s just sloppily put together. My sandwich all but fell apart as I tried to eat it and my son’s peanut butter and jelly sandwich was drowning in jelly; I also asked the young lady behind the counter to cut it in fourths and what we got was three tiny pieces and then a gigantic end piece with jelly oozing out of the side. I got a cup of broccoli cheese soup that was pretty watery and not the same thick warming recipe I remember while working at Potbelly. Will NOT be back to...

The lady helping me through the drive-thru seemed to be annoyed with my questions about the menu. After I paid, I was directed to wait in the front which is fine. I was on my phone waiting for it to be ready... Then I hear “I’m just going to wait here and see how long it takes her to realize I’m here.” As to which I looked up and the lady is standing on the passenger side with the bag... just standing there looking into my car like a weirdo. I couldn’t see her face - just the bag... I’m sure she thought I didn’t hear her but still... I would recommend walking towards the drivers side to get someone’s attention. Even a light knock if you must be on the passenger side. You could always kinda wave from the front until you’ve got their attention. Honestly anything is better then standing at the passenger side window just looking into a strangers car. Definitely don’t stand outside talking...
