Ordered the beef fajitas last night for two to-go. Overall, I did not feel that the quantity and quality met the price point (~$32). I may return to give the chicken fajitas a chance, but definitely not a preferred choice.
Customer service - 5/5. The gentleman working the counter last night was very friendly and helpful as it was my first time here. I wish I’d gotten his name to give him a shout out in this review.
Food prep time - 5/5. I was told it would be 15 minutes which I thought was completely reasonable. It was ready and delivered to my car in 8 mins.
Meat - 2/5. The fajita flavor on the beef was delicious. It was unfortunately not matched by the meat texture. The beef was stringy and appeared to have been over-tenderized to where it was thin and chewy. A real shame considering the seasoning was excellent.
Toppings - 3/5. Quantity was not sufficient for 4 fajita tacos worth. We had maybe half an ice cream scoop worth of guacamole.
Tortillas - 5/5. Obviously made fresh and perfectly sized. I do wish the order had come with 6 instead of 4.
Rice - 2/5. Very bland in flavor. Ours was mushed into the container with more of a mashed potato consistency.
Beans - 5/5. We ordered the refried beans. Excellent flavor and texture.
Salsa - 2/5. Runny and not flavorful. A hint of spice was its most redeeming quality.
Tortilla chips - 1/5. No salt or seasoning added. Extremely oil to the point that the paper bag they came in disintegrated onto the chips.
I had heard mixed reviews on this location, but wanted to try it for myself. I wish our experience had...
Read moreTake-out experience when ordering from website is very hit and miss. In the last month I’ve ordered from them twice. First time I get there when the website says and my order isn’t ready. Takes another 15min or so. Chicken was delicious, beef was good and tender, everything with the food was enjoyable.
Second time I order and as I arrive at the store they are calling me asking where I am. Said my food had been done for a while. I told them I arrived when the website said to get there. Needless to say food was slightly cool when I got home. Beef was very tough and had lots of gristle. The worst part was that they had apparently run out of small sauce containers so instead of a small queso that was supposed to be part of the meal, I got 2 tiny cups you would use to hold ketchup for dipping fries. Same for the salsa which wasn’t as big a deal.
So when customer service sends one of their automated texts asking how it was and any issues I replied back. They vowed to make it right but after I explained the issue and sent them a picture I never heard back again.
Customer service also said their standard online order wait time defaults to 30min. No logic based on number of other orders-just flat 30min.
It’s a shame because their chicken fajitas are really good but it’s too expensive to be dealing with cold food and portions that don’t match what...
Read moreVery impressed with the service here. It's been hard to find restaurants that are still customer oriented in the post covid world, although much of that may be outside of their control. Our delivery came without Tortillas so we had nothing to wrap our fajitas in. I called the store and a very nice and well mannered kid answered and stated that he would send someone back with Tortillas immediately. Less than 15 mins later there's a knock on the door with an abundance of Tortillas and a couple margaritas for the trouble.
We've been regular, weekly customers of Alicia's for years but they have gone so downhill over the last few years we finally gave up and began the search for our new delivery Mexican spot. This was our first order with Fajita Pete's and I think we found it. Well done Fajita...
