Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Texas

Update for June 29th.....once again I would recommend not going there after 9 PM. They got my wife’s burger wrong not once, not twice, but three times... the third time they had the receipt so they knew exactly what we wanted on it but they still didn’t make it right. We just gave up and added the condiment they missed on the third try. Once again the place is dirty. There was dust that could write your name on, on the lights over the booth and the big red air conditioning vents have dust that will be blowing over your food when you eat. See the pics. There is no excuse for that. I still love your food but you have to get your act together.

( from 9 months ago) I like Freddy's but last Tuesday my wife and I had a disappointing visit. We got there at 9:05, placed our order, and tried to find a booth. I mean tried because each and every booth was filthy,,,spills, trash, and the like. The fry sauce containers were sitting open with no pump(isn't that a health violation?), Went to the counter and and got some from them....then they took the open sauce container away. I guess if you come to Freddy's after 9:10 you don't get any of the famous sauce. Tried to get a to go bag for my fries and I could not get the guy at the counter's attention,,,,he had earpods in and was oblivious to everything. So be warned,,,if you go after 9PM be ready for a dirty store and possible contaminated fry sauce. BTW, I wrote to Freddy's that night and they did not...

UPDATE (08/172024)Today we came through the drive through and the lady told us to hold on a second and never came back to us. We sat there for over five minutes waiting with no one attending. The car behind us reversed out and left. After waiting for a long time, my wife put in an order on the mobile app, all while waiting still to see what we would be able to do first. We got it in and pulled around to park in the front and came inside. When we did, we saw the lady attending people in the drive through. This was very frustrating.

(Previous) I have to say, for my first visit at any Freddy's place, it was an EXCELLENT experience. I don't know if this is their normal way of treating customers at all their places, but I was quite impressed! Very friendly staff and very patient and we had no idea what we wanted and were fumbling around the menu trying to decide. The place was VERY clean and we got our food quick!

The food was delicious and I'll definitely be back to try some other items on the menu. But I have to say, I didn't feel like I was at a fast food place or a burger joint. I had someone come up to our table at least 3 times to ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything, and they took any trash we had at the time. My hats off to the staff and...

I watched expectantly as my ordered was being prepared. We had a table for 3, 1 hot dog and 2 hamburger baskets. I watched our order being made and it all looked good until right at the end as one of the burgers and hot dog were brought to the area where they put on the fries and call the orders. Then what may be the most disgusting thing I have ever seen in restaurant occurred. Another customer walked up and handed a burger back to the guy at the counter, something was obviously wrong with it, not sure how much had been eaten or what was wrong. The guy at the counter looked inside the returned burger by pulling partially eaten top bun up with his hand, I guess to find out was wrong. After he determined what was wrong, he returned to arranging the food in our order, literally touching the burgers and dog to arrange the french fries, but WITHOUT changing his gloves. I have no idea why the other customer returned the first burger, but after seeing all my food touched by a guy who just handled a partially eaten order I felt sick.
