So I expected to go try some traditional kolaches from a traditional Czech bakery. Sadly they are not traditional. I also wanted to try something new so I was not disappointed.
5 star on the pizza kolache. Nothing traditional about it, but it blew my mind. Its like if someone wanted to quit at the hotpocket factory and loaded the hotpocket with tons of pepperoni with 10x as good bread. The polish sausage kolache (klobasnic) was 5 star on flavor, bread was soft and sweet, and it was super spicy. Sadly I didn't get the non spicy polish sausage ones because they were out.
I also intended to get the cherry kolache but they were out. Instead I got the apple, strawberry and cream cheese. Flavors are 5 star. But traditional (from slovakia) are round rolls filled with flavoring, with a dollop of filling on top so you know the flavor. They are served with fresh melted butter and dusted with powdered sugar. The ones I got here were more like danishes to be honest.
All in all, not traditional, but my rating is 5 stars and I will be a regular and hope we can do business together in the future....
Read moreMultiple times I have had problems with my orders here. Most recently I ordered online for pickup got there to find out one item wasn't available. No one called to advise or ask if I wanted something else just left it to tell me at pickup. I ordered early enough that my missing item could have been made before closing time instead of taking the lazy route to just say they dont have it. The manager who was rude would not let me finish explaining my problem before cutting me off said the bakers were gone but yet after continuing to express my disappointments with this location on prior occasions then offered to make the missing item. But I thought the bakers were gone and that's why you couldn't have made it instead of just telling me you didn't have it. Lies one way or the other which is unacceptable. Then one of the items actually packed in my order was wrong as well. I used to really like this place but over this past year service has...
Read moreI visit this establishment at least once a month and need to say that their Kolaches are delicious, and the staff is respectful and quick. On Monday, April 23rd, after I drove up to the window to pay for my Ranchero Kolache, I could not find my wallet. After digging through my school bag and purse, I couldn't even find a dollar. I was extremely embarrassed, but Angela was so kind and said that if I lived close by I could take my breakfast and come back later and pay. After making arrangements with a friend to bring my wallet to work, I went at noon and paid my $2.75. The two employees on that shift were very surprised I returned, but thankful for my generosity. Thank you, Angela, for your kindness. To Kolache Factory: You're doing a great job in hiring employees with great...
