MKT Pizza — Restaurant in Texas

This was my first visit to MKT Pizza. it's located in a strip center at the Southwest corner of Greenhouse rd. and I-10. the atmosphere is what I would call industrial; concrete concrete floors, wooden tables, expose piping with pizza ovens and bar all in the main room. Their facility was clean and appeared to be well maintained. Alcoholic beverages are served along with soft drinks. The music was not what I would call loud, but bouncing off the hard surfaces, it made having a conversation difficult.

We were seated properly, waiter was friendly and drinks brought to the table while we looked over the menu. I ordered two pizzas one straight from their menu a Margarita Pizza and the second a "build your on" a Canadian Bacon and Pineapple.The wait time for our order was reasonable and pizzas delivered hot on the pan.

The first thing I noticed was the Canadian Bacon and Pineapple I ordered was actually bacon bits, pineapple, a heavy tomato sauce with almost no cheese. We found this pizza most definitely not to our liking.

The second margarita pizza was also very different from what I expected. The MKT Margarita was not a traditional Margarita Pizza with fresh tomatoes and basil with heavy layer mozzarella. The MKT pizza had almost no cheese, a heavy tomato sauce with dollops of basil pesto. The crust on both pizzas was excellent, but I would call these a "California Designer Pizzas" and nothing like a traditional Italian Pizza.

Some may find these pizzas appealing, but for me I look for a thin crisp pizza crust, flavorful red sauce, topped with lots of buttery mozzarella cheese and toppings of your choice. So the MKT Pizza...

The food, customer service, and atmosphere are very excellent.

The food menu is easy to read, and they have a variety of different pizzas that really do look and taste great! I've tried the MKT pizza (market pizza), and it's honestly my personal favorite. Their pizza is the best I've had in a while. You have to come here and give it a try.

Customer service here is excellent. The staff is super friendly and kind! They do go above and beyond, making sure everything gets sent out correctly, and making sure your visit is welcomed. They are very knowledgeable about the food and ingredients. So you can feel confident if you ask any questions.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice. They have comfortable sitting, as well as a high bar if you like pizza and alcohol, and they do provide entertainment on they're big TV's that they got. It has a nice interior design and feel to it. I like to go there to watch the Astros games. They do play it live if it's going on during the day. If you want to watch an Astros game and eat pizza, go here!

I called ahead to verify MKT had gluten free pizza crusts available, after a two min hold the person on the other end of the line said ‘yes they do and they verified with the kitchen’. So my family and I drove over, ordered four pizzas, one was gluten free, we waited 35 min, then waiter came back to the table and said they do not have gluten free crust and walked away. I asked the waiter what happen and he shrugged his shoulders and went back to talking to his friends at an adjacent table. A Ridiculous waist of time, disrespectful, and could not care less about the customer. If you want to be lied to, crapped on, and disrespected this place is for you. MKT Pizza your staff stinks! The best part of my family’s experience was seeing MKT Pizza in the rear...
