Look I know the chains don't get a lot of love. But I'm giving them a rare (for me) five star rating based on my experience tonight.
We had not been to this location since before the pandemic lockdowns. And I don't think this is the same restaurant to be honest. They seemed to have found all the good people that everyone else lost.
Our server, Torian, was simply outstanding. Not only did he come to our table with a warm greeting but he was very patient with our questions. He provided great suggestions and he seemed genuinely energetic to make sure we had a great dinner experience.
As I said, we hadn't been here in quite a long time. But what drew us tonight was that we remembered that Outback used to have a Wednesday special. When I asked Torian about it he mentioned that this was something offered to their Loyalty Club members. Again, I had, at one time, been a member of the club but it had kind of fallen out of my mind. Nevertheless, Torian immediately told us that since we were aware of the special we could certainly get the special. AWESOME!
My wife and son both ordered the sirloin. I however, decided to go with the grilled chicken. Which leads me to my second compliment for this location. Simply put it is rare to order grilled chicken at a restaurant and not get it overcooked. But my chicken tonight was cooked just right. It was tender and juicy to the last delicious bite. I could not have been happier.
Finally, my third compliment tonight. And I think this one is the linchpin to the whole operation. As we were finishing up the manager stopped by to check on us. I'm going to be fair, here, he gave me his name and I remember it but I don't know how to spell it so I am going to respectfully refer to him as Mr. J. As I relayed my feedback to Mr. J he had the most enthusiastic smile on his face and he immediately begin to talk about several other of his team members. I mean talking about them like a proud father. It is my firm belief that if the management team at this location are all like Mr. J. it fully explains why the entire team is as good as what my family and I experienced tonight.
To sum it all up, this Outback is firing on all cylinders - good people, good service, and good food. What else can anyone ask for?
Outback is back on our list of places to visit. Thanks to everyone for the great...
Read moreLiterally would give a minus 100 fir service if I could! Yes I still tipped because the cooks and cleanup staff deserve it but the waitress and manager were horrid! Just me a grandma and 3 littles 6 years old 3 years old and 9 months all well behaved. Made our order waited for the food served and not once I mean not once did our waitress come hack to our table! Not one single time and it was not busy!!!! It was 330 in afternoon. In fact I had to ask for bread from manager. When I finally asked for the bill at 74.00 I spoke my mind to the waitress to let her know that she did not check on us not a single time not ONCE! I would have been better off picking up curbside. We were out Celebrating my granddaughters championship basketball game and instead we literally got no service it's literally shocking to me and I never leave reviews like this. After that the manager to come over and ask what it happened and I told her no one not one single person checked on the table from the time the food was late on our table and she said well I came over and I said well you came over because I asked for a loaf of bread you didn't come over to check on us. Then she just stood there with a dumb look on her face like yeah that's not right I'm really sorry no offer of a refund no offer I have a coupon just that I'm sorry it was literally the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant I can't help but think that was because My grandchildren are brown skinned I'm hoping that's not the case but I can't figure any other reason why someone would see a lady sit down with three children and not service that table for any other reason they weren't screaming they were yelling they were well behaved we ordered $74 worth of food and I still tipped 25 am...
Read morewe love outback Florida , Maryland , Austin, Killeen , now Katy . We were greeted at the door by a very friendly man, he was probably the manager. We were served by a waitress named Ana. Ana was as dry as the desert. "No good night, no smile, straight to ordering." I ordered a spicy mango Rita and mentioned to her that the color and taste were not mango but more like a lemonade, just spicy. She looked at us and kept quiet, didn't seem bothered, didn't ask if we wanted to try something different or recheck the drink menu (rude). She kept asking if we wanted an appetizer. After we ordered, she only came back to the table to ask if we wanted dessert, already with the bill in hand. I asked for water and didn't get the glass of water until we were already paying the bill (it should have been the first thing on the table). I asked for a to-go box since she didn't offer one. The manager was very nice and came over to our table, asked how things were, he exchanged some info with my husband about old fashioned drink, and asked if I liked the margarita. I said no, and he immediately asked if I wanted to try something different (very nice and thoughtful). I think Ana must have thought we didn't have any money because she was at the bar hugging and smiling at customers, but she didn't even say goodnight or come back to the table to check if we needed anything. When we go back to this place, she will definitely not be our waitress. Advice to Ana “Never judge a book by its cover”,you'll miss many...
