I am a huge fan of Qamari Yemini Coffee and I have to thank my wonderful family friend that recommended this place to me. The iced cocoa, tangerine & peach refreshers, adeni shai and honeycomb bread are my personal favourites. The adeni shai was such a yummy comforting drink, it’s perfect to have at any time in the day. The drinks I have tried so far have all been delicious. The honeycomb is a unique baked good and I loved the soft cheese filling inside. I ordered it to go and I received a very large portion that I could not finish all at once and I was able to eat it the next day.
The staff are super welcoming, knowledgeable and service is fast. Seems like people really enjoy hanging out here as this coffee shop is very popular whenever I’ve dropped by. The google reviews I found were very helpful and I can’t wait to taste more of the items on the menu.
My only recommendations would be that I wish this place had longer hours and I also wish the size of the drinks were larger as an 16 oz iced refresher was $6 and half the cup is filled with ice, just felt there wasn’t enough of the drink itself and I felt I needed a second drink. Maybe request for light ice if you...
Read moreThis was our first time visiting...Here's what i liked and here's where i think they need improvement. First, i loved the Turkish coffee...it was excellent! Tasted wonderful! The Rose & Pistachio milk cake was also very delicious! :) The strong points of decor are the beautiful red patterned built in seating (to the left, as you enter the cafe), and the couches and chairs around the back area are very cozy. The mural portrait on the back wall is beautiful and the mediterranean music really sets the tone. Now, here's where i think they could improve. A large majority of the seating area is kind of bland.... feels empty and bare. When i requested my hot tea in an actual mug instead of a paper cup (as I saw they had many mugs available), the girl that took my order told me, "No." I think it could have been easy to just give me my hot tea in a real mug, rather than a paper cup. It's the little things that need a bit more attention. This place has so much potential. Not a bad experience, just okay. So, to recap.....great milk cake and turkish coffee, peaceful atmosphere, but just needs a little improvement in...
Read moreI feel this is more of a hangout place. Food and coffee is just okay, and overpriced for the quality you get. Negatives: 1. Bathrooms have almost always been dirty. No hook for purse/jacket while you use the bathroom. 2. Buzzer for orders seems a bit odd when the place isn't that large and they can simply call your name out. 3. Service has almost always been slow, no matter what time of day I go, including weekdays. 4. Certain drinks like the Qamaria latte only come in 16oz/double shot option, not 12oz/single shot. 5. No decaf coffee option, this one is just downright weird for a coffee shop to me. 6. Espresso isn't strong enough. 7. Several times we have gotten food items that were not fresh and tasted just downright bad. We got an extremely greasy samosa once. Got really stale hard honeycomb once. 8. The workspace behind the counter is excessively large and a waste of space that could have gone to more seating...The higher reviews are definitely more for the ambiance and less for the actual food and drinks. I hope the owner sees this and makes changes because that's honestly more of why I'm writing...
