Kerby has had customer service skills. It doesn’t help that his onsite supervisor, the lady that seems a few generations older than him wasn’t helpful and receptive either. Initially, she was and typically she is, but she overtalks people before they can form a sentence. This means, she never gets to learn what they’re attempting to say. She continually attempted to offer something that wasn’t asked of her. I simply wanted to know if there was a price change. As a native Texan that grew up down the street from this Whatabutger, before Harlem road had all of its new establishments, red lights, strip centers, homes, etc. I SIMPLY asked if something had recently changed about their pricing. My initial request was to get information on contacting the General Manager. I’d assumed that the onsite manager was in-store when Kerby offered his condescending tone wanting to charge “$0.43” for ice. This morning team doesn’t like to answer questions. I don’t care if a person is asking 5 questions and spending $0.15. The tone was regular, consistent, and there was no increased tone or negative bodily expressions. It’s not hard to offer good customer service, especially to consumers that doesn’t give problems. I am still requesting a call from Crystal Ortiz, although my questions here are going unanswered, because overtalkers are over-talking instead of allowing a word or utterance. My concern is that this team isn’t being managed accordingly, if they are able to have negative attitudes and avoid answering questions of patrons. The food has been subpar, but at a decent price. What’s the point of a manager, if they could still yield negativity, lack of customer service, and false or no advertisement? How do y’all check productivity/quality? Also, I am a manager in my field and I don’t play this. I would be on Indeed instead of allowing my team to render bad customer...
Read moreTook an hour in the drive thru to get my food. Unacceptable.
My mother was visiting and we decided to go to whataburger. We were in the outside lane and put in our order. We are like the 4th car in the middle lane. We sat there for an hour until we got our food. I don’t know what system whataburger has in place but they serviced everyone in the main inside lane first. We sat there and watched everyone in the main lane get serviced. Even people that came way after us. It was like whataburger didn’t care to serve the outside lane. The craziest thing I’ve ever seen.
I was going to say something to the girl working the outside lane until I saw her crying with the lady who was in the 1st car in front of us. The lady was trying to comfort her. It was obvious they were short staffed or something. But it still didn’t make any sense why they were servicing the inside lane and ignoring the outside lane. People who had been waiting 30-60 minutes. I would have left and went inside to ask for a refund but my vehicle was trapped. I couldn’t leave.
Whataburger, do better! If you’re short staffed or can’t find people to work then pay people a better wage so that you don’t have stressed out underpaid employees crying in the drive thru. An hour to get food in the drive thru is ridiculous.

Read moreEditing 7/17/23 because tonight we ate here and the gravy was water consistency, the sweet tea didn't taste like sweet tea at all, my husband's burger was cold and not fresh, and I upgraded 3 kids meal to the chocolate chip cookies and they forgot all 3 cookies. Very annoying to back track for it, so I didn't.
I ate my food so fast so no pic. I ordered online tonight! Super easy process.!! Drove up and used the drive thru, I waited a few minutes tops. I definitely believe my first takeout here was superb!!! The sweet tea actually tasted perfect to me. Not too strong and the perfect sweetness. Some whataburgers tea is way too sweet to me. Not this location. I ordered a 9 piece bite and 6 piece strip meal, both with extra gravy! The chicken was delicious. Fried freshly hot. The toast actually looked toasted! Yay! And the french fries weren't over fried at all! Yayyyy! Usually the other whataburgers I've been too the fries are hard and skinny. But the fries at this location was fried soft on inside and crunchy on outside. Finally. I definitely loved our meal tonight. I hope everytime is just as good!!! Thank you Whataburger! Love this location for the first time trying it.
Visited tonight Oct8/22 and I still recommend...
