So we have eaten at this particular Red Robin 6 times. Only 1 of the 6 times was our food hot and good and we had great service. The other 5 times we have had terrible and I mean terrible service and either hot salads or cold burgers. The last time was the last straw. We were sat at a table by the kitchen, and it took our waitress 10 minutes to realize we were there even though we could see her standing in the kitchen talking. It took another 5 minutes to get drinks ordered and brought to our table. We ordered an appetizer with our drinks, the Mozzerella sticks pretty basic. About 15 minutes later after finally getting our waitress to notice us again we asked for refills and where our appetizer was. While this occurred I am watching the kitchen and see our meals being put the in window. As our waitress is going to look into our appetizer the other waitress in-between flirting with the manager and eating food off her plate asks our waitress if she is ready for our salad we ordered as one of our meals. The waitress told her yes and they placed our cold salad under the hot lamp in the window while the waitress waits another 10 minutes for our appetizer. Which the manager brings over with a quick "uh sorry" and leaves. Now the waitress is coming behind him with our food that has been in the window around 20 minutes. I immediately told her to please get the manager and take our food back to the kitchen. The manager then shows up and asks me what could possibly be the matter. I informed him that while he is flirting with his staff our food sat under the hot lamp in the window getting cold for the prime rib sandwich, and hot for our salad. He told me they were remaking it and to just wait a bit longer and we will have our food. Needless to say I didn't wait a bit longer and we left. I will...
Read moreTold 10 minute wait that was ridiculous. There were empty tables everywhere in the area that was open. When finally seated. We placed our order, took 10 minutes to get our drinks. Then we kept waiting and waiting for our food and that was another 10 minutes of which time it still had not arrived. So the waitress or whomever she was brought french fries for everybody at the table. then we're still waiting on another 10 minutes went by so now we're at 30 minutes sitting without our order of three hamburgers. They totally forgot about putting in our order at all. They wanted a $1.99 for garlic aioli and then when they brought a serving of it it was in a super small container that you can hardly fit the French fry into dip. For $2 for garlic mayonnaise basically it should have been a larger one. The manager came over and then finally brought a decent-sized one to the table. All in all we waited close to an an hour for 3 hamburgers. One we got cut in half because we were splitting it and when they served it they brought one half burger and the other half, that was mine, I didn't get for 10 minutes after that. So could you tell me why That even happened, they should have been on the same serving tray and serve at the same time.. The restaurant was not crowded, the food was not that good in the service was terrible. Manager did not even give a free dessert to the seven-year-old we had with us. some things should have been done. Even though we were only three hamburgers it doesn't mean we're not allowed to have the same professional service at a larger group probably would get. The experience was lacking. I actually have a star too many. The actor star was because he aioli...
Read moreUPDATE My friends and family stopped in one evening for beers. The staff recognized me and management unexpectedly came to my table and apologized for what had transpired between Sean and myself. They told me the meals were on them that night. I really appreciated that level service. Now that is the Red Robins experience I remember, not the Sean experience.
Problem Visit I usually stop in and eat here several times a week. We've been frequenting the Red Robins chain for over two decades. Today I'm done. I no longer have the tolerance to deal with inept. I like to sit on the bar side with my family to enjoy beers and to unload and decompress. We walked in, no greeter up front. Hugo took the couple in front of us and seated them in the bar side. We just stood there waiting. Then some newer guy came up and we told him we want a booth on the bar side, that I don't like the other side. He told us that he only has a seat open over there, on the side i just told him I didn't like. I looked and there were 2 more booths where Hugo sat the previous couple. The guy was full of it and wanted our tip money, probably because it wasn't too busy. I just said then we'll just eat elsewhere. He said okay ...and we just walked out. He didn't even try to make it right. That's how we knew he just wanted us sitting in his section. We went across the street and got amazing service at Gloria's. In these times, given the state of the economy, one would think keeping customers would be the goal, not...
