We stopped for lunch after a morning at nearby Enchanted Forest. The place was just getting going. We took a seat at a table and were greeted by the waiter/bartender. Soon we enjoyed refreshing adult beverages. . I ordered a burger and my wife ordered the fried shrimp. I thought about trying to swap the truffle fries for plain'ol versions, but was assured the truffle fries were excellent. . The kitchen is in a separate building across the way, and there was a decent wait. I imagine the kitchen too was getting going, although they had a private meeting in the steakhouse already. I noted that a party of three came in around the middle of our wait, ordering crawfish. The received their order much faster than we did. Dunno. . The burger was very good. I especially liked the bacon, which was not overly crispy. However, as feared, the truffle fries were a miss for me. They were not more excellent than the usual truffle fries that I try to avoid; they were truffle fries. Good fries do not need fancy coatings. . My wife's fried shrimp were plump and coated with cornmeal. She certainly enjoyed them. I eyed her plain fries with envy. . It was a nice lunch. The wait was long, but not outrageous. I think our first customer status affected that.

MUST!!! [Check them out on FB for more details of live entertainment...] As soon as you drive up, you'll catch the feel of this place.... from the outdoor fireplace with seating, to the pool table... as you enter, you've got dart boards on the left, tv's all over to watch whatever you want... and as you enter you are greeted by Trent, the manager... super welcoming and explosively funny, quite the wit! Full bar with wonderful drinks, including a towering mimosa (2 bottles of champagne in a special container that holds the champagne and oj separate until you pull the nozzle)... fantastic menu, delicious food... and then you learn about the entertainment... 70's, 80's and 90's live entertainment, including "midget" wrestling 3x a year!!! If I lived closer, I would be there constantly, so much fun. Please note, we arrived very early on Saturday after a round of golf, so don't take the sparse customers as a sign, plus, I do my best at not taking pics of peeps...

This was our first visit, and we will DEFINITELY be back! We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful, sunny Saturday afternoon. Hubby wanted crawfish, and I saw Scotty's post on Facebook saying the mud bugs had arrived, so we made the short drive from Hwy59. He added boiled shrimp, corn, potatoes, and sausage to his order. I ordered Scotty's Cheeseburger with Truffle Fries. Yummmmm! What a great location! It's a very laid back, Texas style, friendly, family atmosphere. Daily specials, live bands for weekend dancing, and adult beverages make Scotty's a fun, grownup playground to hang out with your friends. If you're wanting to celebrate a special event with a fancy steak dinner, they have a lovely, cozy dining room that is MUCH higher scale than most chain restaurants we have visited. The service is as thorough as it is friendly. It was a completely wonderful afternoon in the country!

The service is absolutely horrible. There's only two artists I'll go see here. The shows are always packed yet they are always understaffed. The poor ppl trying to work get overwhelmed and are so so so SOOOOO slow. Good luck trying to get any customer service when you have a problem. The long wait and price of the food is NOT worth it. Not even a little bit. Have overheard the manager be SO rude to customers far too many times. I've learned to eat before hand and to buy tix online before prices nearly double. Again, if it weren't for the two I want to see I would never go to Scotty's. ☹️ Also, the bathroom is always a mess!!

Let me add a response since there's not an option to do so after Scotty's reply

It's sad that even a reply to a review would be rude. Accusing me of lying because you did not like my opinion but not asking questions to address anything speaks volumes for this establishment. Thank you for proving my point! I also see tons of others saying the same things so yeah, not just my issues nor do I have the wrong location as said in the response to me.

To be clear I did not say anything about the freshness of the food. Just because it's "fresh" does not mean it was good and worth it. Disappointing really because the pics of the burgers really do look delicious and with such a long wait I'd expect it to taste delicious too. Especially since I now know it is all fresh! The fried pickles had to be the saddest little pickles ever. The ranch dressing was OK although doubtful that was "fresh".

I have been to five events and most definitely have seen/heard how customers have been treated. This last time we only got a table because the lady (don't know her name but she is the only recurring face always there) rudely kicked the couple off of it. The couple had no idea there was a concert, he later said they just stopped in for crawfish and beer. The lady told them to eat and get out before show time and then even told them they had to move inside. Grant it, true they weren't paying for the concert but there was a nicer way of speaking to them and informing them of what was happening. Then a lady came up upset they had not received their food nor were they getting any service. Now no, we didn't hear the whole conversation (bc it wasn't ours) however we did hear when voices were raised, the customer was being sent to the bar to talk to someone else but was persistent and the staffer yelled at the customer to "shut up and get away from her". Who does that to a customer?! There are much better ways to speak to other adult humans and definitely when it's a customer!

Staff cannot keep up with serving customers food/drinks so think about it honestly...how well are the bathrooms being tended to?! C'mon! The stall I went into had no toilet paper, only one dispenser w/soap, there were beer bottles on the sink counter and the trash was overflowing so there was trash on the floor. Ie: a mess of a bathroom. Don't dare say it was a busy night so the expectation of the bathroom shouldn't be high. It is because it was a busy night that management should make sure they were checked, restocked and tidied up some.

Taking some accountability and making an effort to do better could go a long way...

This was my first time visiting Scotty’s Saloon. Upon arrival I thought it was a cool place! What will make me never come to this place again was the manager/owner, (not sure what she was) Dina. This place has 87 one star reviews and a lot of them are to do with the way she handles and treats customers. I think that speaks for itself. I’m sure my 1 star review will be another review that she will be defensive, rude and call me a liar on! My friend was charged $300 to reserve tables ONLY. I have never heard of that at any place that isn’t high class. Even at other bars in the general area $300 at least gets you a personal waitress. Once again the only thing this includes was tables for the party. As a party we could have just walked in and sat at the tables for FREE because other than our party there were MAYBE 20 other people (if that) there the whole time we were there. It’s sad that she caused most of our party to leave and go elsewhere losing business for the establishment and for her wait and bar staff because of her rude and defensive attitude. There were serval Irish car bomb shots ordered and they were made wrong and they were still paid for with zero complaint. We could have easily complained about that. They made them with Guinness and Yeagermister. 🤮 I will say that I ordered grilled shrimp tacos and they were pretty good and the band that was there that night was pretty good as well. I’ll just wait for the defensive and rude response from Dina as she has posted on almost every single 1 star review that this establishment has received.

Edited to add: Just as expected, the response to a review wasn’t to take information that customers not just from this night or my friends party to make things better for customers that come to your establishment, but to be rude in a response and be defensive. I’m not sure how someone can have so many people calling her rude from multiple different reviews and nights (not just my friends) and still be defensive. If review after review had bad things to say about me I would think I needed to check my attitude and approach to my customers….. Also….my friend did not request that genre of music….so that’s another lie! That would not have been her choice of music. The only thing she asked you was what band was playing there and your response was “a nice variety house band.” Nothing against the band….they were good! Also, if you “brought in extra wait staff for this event” why was the majority of the party having to go inside to the bar to order our drinks? I know for a fact that the only thing a waitress took an order from me was for my food. Every single drink that my husband and I ordered that night we had to walk...

Where do I begin. I would recommend Macdonalds before I would eat here. Worked there for 3 hours. 1 deep-fried stale expired store bought chips(told it was cheaper than making fresh and sold as scratch made 2 famous himemade artichoke dip was from HEB 3 dosnt clean pans between orders just reuses all night 4 food left on workstations through out the night (improper temp chicken) 5 squeeze bottles with congealed products(just refilled instead of cleaning and or getting a clean one) 6 no dates on foods in storage 7cross contamination (cooked salmon in same bin as bloody raw beef? 8 and the coup de grace. White truffle oil(perfume) cases and cases of that garbage but fresh chips or dip is to expensive. She called me a lier but everything I said was true. I did offer to come back if they fixed the above issues and they deny that that had any. I don't need to work I just enjoy cooking and what they were doing was not cooking. They even have a microwave in kitchen and used in their "recipies" Don't get me started on their fine dinning shot show. The dinning area smells bad and they pull their steaks (non aged) for a tub smother them in seasoning and basic b!tch grill em(no souve, no reverse sear, no finish. And think they are gonna compare to vic and Anthony's. Lmfao. Flat out question do you or fo you not use white truffle oil and have cases of it for your white truffle oil fries. And did you start making the dip. I bet right now I can come with heb brand and not one could tell the diffrence after you take yours out of the tub Oh and the job she says I applied for I never asked for money I said I would like to help them out cause I thought they were nice people and I'm retired and bored oh and she treatens a law suit please do i recoreded your entire kitchen and violations. Go for it. Please do I bored. Really please give me a platform. Also if you wanna talk bout slander please check you response. Saying I was fired from every job and I'm not retired. I'm a 100pct disabled vet who has never been fired. Laid of or quite because a place lied about their scratch made kitchen yes. Unless you have proof otherwise I'd suggest you reconsider your...
